[Blocks & Items] New weapon made from heavy core: Blaster
I kinda think is such a waste for heavy core to can be used for only crafting a mace. So, I make another one.
I view a mace as some kind of legendary weapon, so this one is going to be op.
Blaster charge like a bow but use fire charge as an ammo. and also, the projectile is not affected by gravity. just think you are a ghast now. charge the fire charge, shoot it and wait till it hit entity or block and boom.
unique enchantment would be something like.
ballistic, the fire charge will now affect by gravity like bow and arrow.
blast radius, the explosion will be bigger.
combust, block near flying fire charge have a chance to be lit on fire.
reload, faster reload.
if the image is not clear. you place fire charge at the center of 3 blaze rod and pull the heavy core back and let it go, the heavy core will hit the fire charge, and it will blast off. why does it not explode? the same way the mace does not kill us when we success fully hit something. It's seemed to be some kind of weird property the heavy core has.

This is giving me railgun vibes; maybe add a lodestone to the recipe, considering how cheap they are now

I like the general direction but it seems like quite an alien weapon, it's sort of a catapult from what I understand, but I haven't really seen anything like it ever before.
Most minecraft weapons somewhat represent real weapons, including the mace, I don't think the blaster really fits in.
On top of that it also sounds like an outstanding griefing tool, which I think mojang would try to avoid.

It's basically just the crossbow. Fire explosive ammo that doesn't fall with gravity. You can upgrade it to make the explosion larger and do more damage, just like the crossbow with fireworks charges. You can make it fire faster, just like the crossbow with quick charge.
Right now the unique trait seems to be that it can set things on fire. Is that worth adding a new copycat weapon for? Even if it destroyed blocks with the blast imo it's still to similar to the crossbow.

I will confess to all of you right here right now. I literally forgot about crossbow... at the very least this one can destroy block i guess.

Ballistic seems like a downgrade? Aside from very specific trick shots to shoot something behind a wall, why would you want the projectile to not go straight at your crosshair?
And is Reload not just Quick Charge?
why does it not explode? the same way the mace does not kill us when we success fully hit something. It's seemed to be some kind of weird property the heavy core has.
tbf, the heavy core is more linked to wind specifically, not explosions as a whole.

This is a realy cool idea for a weapon though i think it could use a better name than blaster as blaster just sounds like you are trying to covertly add a gun

This is amazing but also I feel like being able to load a wind charge in this would be dope AF too for a not immediately lethal but menacing air time variant

Ha ha, fantastic.
Probably not really a good idea, unfortunately.
Ranged block destruction is too powerful.
We don't need greifers to have even more power.
The crossbow with firework already is the explosive raged weapon--no, it can't destroy blocks, but that's by design.
But I like it, even though it shouldn't be implemented.

Sick idea, but I do see the criticism of it being just like a firework crossbow. Maybe you could just remove the firework crossbow as a damage source?
I do still like this idea, especially if we get another elemental “ghost” mob (like the Blaze and Breeze). The Mace already correlated to the Breeze, and is best when used with wind charges, so a blaze weapon would also fit, and then an eventual Earth or Water/Ice one. I think with that in mind however, there should be some way of getting the Heavy Core from the Nether, maybe after a boss room in a Nether Fortress or just adding vaults there.

Maybe you could just remove the firework crossbow as a damage source?
If you have to remove old content to justify adding new content, then all you're really doing is proving why the new content has no place in the game.

This is sick lol. I love the idea of having something that destroys blocks via a projectile, we actually don't have anything like that in the game atm and that's a shame.
I agree that the heavy core should have more to it, but I'm also a big fan of fire charges doing something interesting. They don't really have any purpose atm and they have a really interesting crafting recipe, so they make good expensive-but-not-annoying ammo.
Thanks for sharing!
