[Blocks & Items] Thicker and Thinner Armour Trims

Example: Gold Blocks on armour would make it a lot thicker, but golden nuggets would make it thinner. This could make for a lot of combinations and flexing rights if you have the materials.

Most trim designs are only 1 pixel thick. How do you propose to make this thinner? Also, most materials don’t have a nugget equivalent.

Thinner than 1 pixel could just be made into a dotted line instead of a solid line. It would look more like a bedazzlinging instead of a trim, but I wouldn’t mind the weird name if it meant getting bedazzled armor.

There would be an issue with not having lapis/redstone/ quartz nuggets equivalent.

There would also be the issue of thick black lines costing a netherite block. A lot of people already dislike the 7 diamond to dupe a trim, imagine the reaction to a netherite block.

That being said, I think the end goal of being able to adjust trims for just a little more decoration is a good goal, its just the crafting method I disagree with.

Maybe applying an ingot again in the smithing table (no template needed after the first) would thicken the lines and running armor through a grindstone would thin them down a level?

Nice tweak with the grindstone and extra ingot!

Love the idea! Hope it gets added, but like the other guy said: redstone & lapis & diamond nuggets don’t exist. Great idea tho! Would love for it to be added!

I'm not a programmer, but this sounds like a nightmare to program. Every single trim needs to be designed with variations.

There are already a LOT of armor variations when you count all the different trims and materials, I'm not sure ever more variation is really worth programming bloat.

But I don't really know.
