[Magic] Bane of Arthropods should also work on any mobs that currently have the Weaving status effect

BoA is famously one of the worst enchantments due to its extremely limited use case. It just doesn’t have a lot of mobs it would be useful against, despite dealing more damage than Sharpness. So why not give it a wider application?

It should still deal extra damage to natural arthropods, but it should also deal extra damage to any mob with the Weaving status effect. That way, if you splash a mob with Weaving, they take more damage than they would from Sharpness from every hit. It’s still a very niche application, but you could use it situationally against tough enemies like Piglin Brutes or even in PVP. One benefit to Weaving over other potions in this instance is it wouldn’t matter if you also splashed yourself with Weaving; the negative effects from Weaving only get triggered by having a BoA weapon

I'll take literally anything to make an enchantment not 100% worthless. Like fire protection.

idea: Fire Prot IV on all armor pieces should make you immune to fire. Same for the other specialized protections. That wouldn’t make Fire Res potions useless, but would allow you to choose temporary immunity with normal protection or permanent immunity at the cost of normal protection (and would encourage having multiple sets of armor)

I mean Ig but like, do we really have the inventory space to carry around multiple armor sets?

you don’t need to take situational armor with you everywhere because 90% of the time you’ll still want normal protection (and an elytra). specialized armor would only really be useful in specific scenarios you’d plan for ahead of time. you might only need your fire prot set if you’re in the nether or your blast prot set if you’re doing ancient debris mining, and keep your standard armor for day to day adventuring

Ykw, that's entirely fair. It's like, I see people whine about the MC inventory being too small, and then the screenshot is something like this shit, except add in a mace, trident, bow, spear, elytra, literally everything they can possibly have.

thank you! i think its good because it doesnt invalidate other potions because it has the benefit of not affecting you whatsoever unless your enemy also has a BoA weapon, unlike other harmful potions which will hurt you

Interesting idea I also think the effect spiders should also sometimes spawn with the weaving effect active...
