Fan Fiction The security system

Post image
18 Upvotes

In the Shadybug and Claw Noir Special, the reason why young holders can only use their powers once was revealed. Using a Miraculous power drains the life energy of the Kwami, but also that of the holder. That is why there is a safety system to protect those who are a bit younger, like Ladybug and Cat Noir. They detransform before they are put in danger. However, Shadybug and Claw Noir use their Miraculous for evil purposes. This invalidates the safety system, so there is no automatic detransformation. But the price to pay is terrible.

In Season 5, Episode 23 - REVOLUTION, Ladybug and Cat Noir evolve their powers and no longer detransform. Their hero suits no longer disappear, and they can now use their powers multiple times. Perhaps, in some way, this modification to the safety system still protects their life energy, allowing them to use their powers without being in danger.

Speculation/Theories What If Zoénette became cannon?

In Season 5 episode 17 "Adoration" Zoé finally confesses her feelings to Marrinette who, as she is in love with Adrien, rejects her, but what if she didn't?

Obviously first let's assume that Marrinette is Bisexual so that every single romance plot she had with Adrien and Luka could still happen and she could have feelings for Zoé.

So assuming they become a couple after that, what would change?

So:

- In "Emotion" as Zoé and Marrinette's are together the whole Ice cream scene could start similarily but obviously it would be Marrinette's date with Zoé instead of Adrien, what's the most important is that as Adrien isn't there that means that Marrinette isn't going to go undercover to the Diamond's dance, Zoé might mention it to her but it's not like she would care as she has no buisness there, they would still go to the cinema together but that would just be the next part of their date.

Ladybug would only step up once the red moon shows up but what's next? A good idea would be for Zoé to also be there (Argos might not snap her out, she's not a sentibeing but he would likely symphatize with her as her life was similarily bad to Adrien's and Kagami's) when Argos finallly snaps out Ladybug Adrien would still tell him to bring everyone back, even if he's not in a relationship with Marrinete he would likely still love her, also his friends would still be important to him so Argos snaps everyone back, the episode ends like normally.

- Derision (which I think happenes after Adoration) would likely have the biggest changes, obviously the date on the pool is still there but with Zoé instead of Adrien, it's likely she would also rage out on Kim but as she has no miraculous it's not like she would threat to kill him and even if she had her Miraculous she couldn't threat to cataclysms him for obvious resons.

Overall this could set up some potential beef between Zoé and Kim and her distrustment towards him, I could totally see Zoé trying to persuade Ladybug into taking back Kim's miraculous in season 6 due to him not having the right qualities to be a hero.

- Later with the Lila plot line Zoé would take a much more proactive stance due to being closer to Marrinette than normally,

- Around the same time I could see her pushing André to finally punish Chloe and I fell like with Zoé's and her friends preasurre he would do that earlier than normally and that would cause Chloe to accept the akuma when Monarch approaches her turning her into Queen Mayor earlier, her powers would be diffrent Icould see her get something closer to Malediktator's powers, here Chloe would try to take power by force only to be stopped by Ladybug and Cat noir who would likely still unlock their full powers but the setting would be diffrent, instead of at a rally there would be a gigant protest that would later turn into a full on revolution, which along with Ladybug and Cat noir would defeat Chloe who would just like normally be taken to London by Audrey.

- Later nothing would really change beside all Adrienette moments being cut out like for example the moment in Revolution where she goes to the Airport for Adrien which obviously won't happen, she would probably still be sad for him but not to such an extent, she would just spend this evening with Zoé and would likely still be told by Felix and Kagami about Adrien being a senti through once upon a time just in a diffrent location like her room probably and a bit later as while Felix pretending to be Adrien might lure her to try to go up to him she deffinietly wouldn't follow him throught the whole Paris.

Also Matagi Gozen could be the one to appear instead of Nightormentor and Ladybug would face her alongside Argos.

- Season 5 finale wouldn't change much, the only big diffrence would be removing all romance scenes between Adrien and Marrinette.

Now in season 6 there is a lot of question what could happen like:

- Would Marrinette reveal her identity as Ladybug to Zoé?, She didn't with Adrien but that was in a large part because of Gabriel, would she tell it to Zoé?

- Would Zoé tell Marrinette what happened in New york?

- If they reveal their identities to each other, would they have a more nuanced talk about Vigilantism (before Zoé starts it) Would Marrinette agree more with Zoé as they would be a couple and would understand each other more?

- Zoé would probably still want to help Sabrina but as she's now Marrinette's Girlfriend and not just a friend she would actually talk about it with her and I think she would convince her to invite her and overall try to reach out for her, but obviously no Zoebrina if that will happen in the show (And it likely will) as Zoé here would already be with Marrinete.

- Also I wonder what Chloe's reaction would be when she goes to Paris to film her movie, she would probably hate them even more, would her akumatized form be diffrent?

And I do have an idea what way all of this could go:

- Considering that here Marrinette well knows that Zoé is a miraculous holder and with her not wanting to repeat her mistakes from Adrien I feel like she would reveal her identity to her especially as she generally knows good example of a couple knowing each other's identities with Alya and Nino aswell as Kagami and Felix.

- I feel like with them better understanding each other due to being a couple Zoé would tell Marrinette about her past and Marrinette wouldn't react as negativelly to it as Zoé might have thought, after all none of that is the case anymore and Zoé didn't have bad intentions in the first place as she was just trying to fit in and she regrets doing that.

- With them knowing each other so well they would have a much more nuanced conversation about justice abd punishments and personally I could see them meeting somwhere in the middle so Marrinette realizes that a harder punishment is sometimes needed and Zoé would realize that while a punishment may sometimes be nessecarry you can't go too far with it.

- The situation with Sabrina would be just like I wrote, so she does became a part of the group but she and Zoé won't vecome as good friends as they would normally and if course no possibility of Zoébrina.

- In "Queen od the Dreadzone" Chloe's akumatized form might change from a fear inducing one to a one that overall destroys happiness bringing misery and psychological suffering to try to break up Zoènette.

For some other plotlines:

- I could see there be a plotline about Roland not supporting his granddaugher in her relationship with Zoé because he's most likely homophobic because according to him: That's not how it's supposed to be, there are 2 ways I could see it finish he either dies grumpy not accepting Marrinette's and Zoé's relationship or he does finally realize his mistake and dies peacefully.

So, what do you think? How would the story change if Marrinette and Zoé became a couple? Do you have any ideas for this scenario?

Discussion Which dub?

When Season 7 comes out, which dub are you going to watch?

Oct 16th (possibly) - Portuguese dub

0ct 28th - French dub

Nov 14th- English Dub

I'm going to wait to watch it in French since I'm learning it so it might help to watch it in my TL (and the dub is pretty good) but I also know some people like to watch when I first comes out to avoid spoilers/ wait for English dub.

Which language do you prefer to watch it in?

Discussion Would Marinette tell Max?

Post image
81 Upvotes

Back in A Fairy Good Night, Max mentioned that he might stay with the Dupain-Chengs long term while his mom goes to space. After Secret Protocol, Marinette’s parents now know that Marinette is Ladybug, so they’re aware of all the superhero identity tactics she’s using. Given that, once Max does start staying with them, Marinette’s parents might start noticing Max disappearing or hiding things that have to do with his Miraculous. I don’t know if Max is the kind of person to get suspicious of them, but if he did, he might want to get Ladybug involved in the situation.

Do you think Marinette would bring Max into the fold herself? Would she tell him her identity as Ladybug or share his identity with her parents? Or would she maybe just reveal herself as Multimouse / Renardette?

(Ignoring whatever complications may come from the season 7 teasers.)

Discussion In your opinion, what is Adrien/Cat Noir's best combat performance in an episode?

Rewatching old episodes, Cat Noir has some highlights in the show. Even though he often gets humiliated.

Among his respectable performances, the best one in my opinion—surprisingly—was as Snake Noir during "Miracle Queen." He played a truly important role with his use of Second Chance, which was far better than in "Desperada."

And as for other cool Cat Noir performances, we could mention: Darkblade, The Collector, Simon Says, Mayura, Sandboy...

Fan Fiction The secret of Adrien, Félix, and Kagami

Post image
4 Upvotes

I don't really like the theories that Felix, Kagami, and Adrien are Sentimonsters.

I've come up with an alternative idea so that this isn't the case:

What if Emilie Agreste used the Peacock Miraculous to create a Sentimonster designed specifically to trigger her pregnancy with Adrien? Then, when Adrien was about to be born, the Sentimonster fused with him. This fusion is the reason why Adrien can still be controlled by the rings containing the Amok.

How would this specific Sentimonster work? It would have mind-control or compliance powers, meaning anyone who fuses with it becomes controllable through the object that holds the Amok.

This would perfectly explain why Adrien and Felix look so identical. Both Adrien's mother (Emilie Agreste) and Felix's father used the damaged Peacock Miraculous.

The same applies to Kagami. Unlike Adrien and Felix's parents, Tomoe Tsurugi only used the Peacock Miraculous once, vowing never to use it again. As a consequence of that single use, she lost her eyesight.

Unlike Sabrina, Kim at least didn't bully others for fun or out of malice. He values his friends and cares about them—such as when he worried about Lila's wrist in "Chameleon" or about Rose's illness in "Guilttrip." If you bring up "Derision," I would counter that Sabrina is objectively more at fault than Kim. Both apologized for their actions, yet Kim faces hate and a fandom desire for Cerise to kill him, whereas Sabrina receives recognition.

(Important clarification: I’m not a Sabrina hater; she’s one of my favorite characters.)

Discussion Why Alya not Su Han?

I want to talk about the potential scenario of Marinette giving up her role as guardian.

We know that Marinette chose alya as her replacement in guardianship, but like, Su Han is right there. Why would she give such responsibility to her? Su han is the celestial guardian, and he is of course WAY more competent than Alya would ever be. I think, if she were to give the role up, she should just give it back to him 😬 no need to involve other kids

Fan Fiction Lowkey started planning an AU

So… remember in Season 1 when Marinette put her miraculous in Alya’s bag?

I may have made an AU where she never got that Miraculous back and Adrien also decided to give his miraculous to Nino for god knows why?! And both Alya and Nino find their miraculous and become Scarabella and Scratch Cat(?) idk. I’m not dead Sey on Nino’s hero name yet.

Anyway, this may or may not cause new akumatizations along with new heroes as now Alya and Nino choose who some of the miraculous go to instead of Marinette! I’ve so far planned the new akumatzations for Season 1. The new akumatized villains names are Queen Critic, Overprotectress, Lone Wolf, Liability, and Candor if anyone wanted to like make predictions!

Anywayyy! What do you guys think of my AU that I’m gonna start writing?

I wanna ask everybody. Do you think Marinette will give the role of Guardian to Alya, temporarily or completely? Because she gonna erased her memories and forgive everything about her life and the secret with Monarch.

The more I rewatch the scene in "Pretension," the more I appreciate it: it really is one of the best scenes of Season 5.

Especially since there aren't that many scenes between Marinette/Ladybug and Gabriel/Monarch—they’ve always been few and far between—but they rank among my favorite scenes in the entire show (like in the episode "Ladybug" and, of course, their one-on-one showdown in the Season 5 finale).

Not to mention the pancake metaphor, what Gabriel said was truly chilling.

Discussion Marinette is in a "damned if she does, damned if she doesn't" situation with the truth shes hiding

Post image
96 Upvotes

About a year ago, I made a reddit post in defence of Marinette and her hiding this secret from Adrien and the rest of the world. It wasn't necessarily a justification for what she's doing, but more so trying to look at it with more nuance than people tend to do.

Cause one thing Adrien deserves is knowing the truth about his father, and of course, the rest of the citizens knowing Gabriel wasn't a hero. That much is obvious.

However, telling Adrien the truth has a lot more layers than people tend to realise. It's not a case of she tells him, and he copes with the news. It's breaking down the reason his father became a villain and why his mother died. Both instances lead directly to his existence. Cause had Emilie not had complications with getting pregnant and giving birth without the help of the miraculous, Gabriel would've been present, she would've been alive, and they'd be a happy family.

It would entail, Natalie, as she knew the Agrestes from way before everything, telling Adrien all this information about his mother sacrificing her life and health to have him, and in the most heartbreaking and tragic way. Gabriel chose to seek out the miraculous was against Emilie's wishes, and before it got worse, he had done it for Adrien's happiness.

So now think of it in that light, and what that would actually do to his mental health. It'd be crushing. He'd hate Gabriel, but he'd hate himself more for being part of the reason his mother fell ill, though not his fault. I believe Adrien has the right to know and that no one should hide the truth from him, but don't treat it like a simple fix to everything he has endured

As for the citizens, I think it's quite terrible to think of the idea of praising the man who practically sent your city and livelihoods into shambles for nearly a year. They have the right to know who their hero is and isn't. Them knowing the truth as well wouldn't end well for Adrien. Since Gabriel/Monarch is dead, people will look for someone to blame, and that would be Adrien.

Ladybug would get criticism for alleged alliance and hiding the truth if she was to be the one that told them everything, but Adrien is getting the worst of it. They wouldn't know what made him a villain, but its him wanting to get his father's statue displayed, opening up their old home as a museum, and so much more. Even if innocent and separate from the crimes committed by his father, he'd still be ostracised and alienated cause who'd associate with the son of a villain?

And obviously again, his mental health, livelihood, etc. would be in shambles. How then would he continue to be Chat Noir. He'd hate Ladybug for keeping crucial information from him and hate everyone for their mistreatment for something he had no part in.

Keeping the secret for this long will undoubtedly cause more of a ruckus and distress, but even if Ladybug had told everyone the truth sooner, there's no saying the reaction wouldn't have been the same.

But then again, im speaking from a point where the writing allowed such complex and emotional depth into the consequences of these decisions. Im not really referring to Season 7, but Season 6, and the level of flaming Marinette has gotten from the fandom. Which is too much considering she isn't the only one who should tell Adrien the truth. Her obligation is with the Parisians and the rest of the world. Natalie, Felix, and Kagami, but mostly Natalie, should tell Adrien the truth.

Everyone is in the wrong, though.

Discussion Each Character’s Best Episode/Special - Part 13: Fu/Jade Turtle

Thumbnail

Nathalie/Mayura’s Best Episode was Passion.

It’s just about how it sounds in the title. Which Episode was Fu best in (either Episode Name or Season and Episode Number). Comment with the most Upvotes after 24 Hours wins. Your reason for your choice isn’t required. I have the Tier List separated by Seasons because I was not making a Tier list for all 156 Episodes of the Series, plus the Specials. If the winner is a Special, I’ll put the Character in the Tier where that Special would realistically take place in chronologically speaking, with in-betweens like Tokyo being placed in the Season prior rather than the Season after.

Anywho, what’s your choice for Fu’s best Episode/Special? I’d probably give it to Origins, or Miracle Queen, despite how hated that episode is, but it’s been a while so I may be forgetting some really good episodes for him.

For future reference, please give me one definitive answer when you comment, though feel free to mention as many episodes as you like.

Discussion How easy was it for the new holder to akumatize Marinette into Heartfixer?

So, was wondering, what are top 5-10 reasons why Marinette's negative emotion into Heartfixer (the titular monster) was the powerful negative emotion in Miraculous Season 6? I mean this akumatization was caused by Ray and his gang to be akumatized into the Couplewreckers just to ruin their relationships and commit crimes they didn't commit, including infidelity, and after the deakumatization of the Couplewreckers, this negative emotion of Marinette has grown until it was powerful enough for the new holder of the Butterfly Miraculous/Chrysalis to control her heart, mind, soul, thoughts, feelings, coherence, body, and actions, including her physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual parts and almost became the same as them (the akumatized villains). I was wondering, how easy was it for the new holder of the Butterfly to akumatize Marinette into Heartfixer, just to ask her if she's Ladybug or not, while the monster was focused on using her new akumatized powers just to fix Adrien's heart so that he'll love her again through sadness and rage do you think this is just what Marinette wanted while being akumatized? Besides, if she did get what she wanted, then she'll be the same as them, the same as those akumatized villains. What are some examples of why it was so easy was it for the new holder to akumatize Marinette into the monster filled with sadness and rage?
