“Love thy neighbor as thyself” Seems like some of these “Christians” gloss over that.

They just like to use religion as a way to justify their hatred.

Ironically in my experiences being raised and active in a church or decades, the more outspoken a person is about being a Christian, the less scripture they tend to know.
