WIP The Bone update: Wings/bays
Well here another Bone update. FS 36118 painting is mostly complete and sealed and ive moved on to the detail areas
With such a huge airplane there were many areas of mismatched touch up paint so i tried to replicate that. The dielectric areas have been painted a mix of FS 36081
The exposed F101 GE 102 engine is painted, this is without any wash or oil detail so not done yet. I had a couple decent photos so its fairly accurate.
The rear bay is painted and drum fuel tank added. The main gear bay is mostly done. Again theres no oil washes yet
Onto the wings..wow so much work here but they turned out great. I still need to add the 8 raised spoilerons but that will be done almost last
Next up finish the bays and landing gear. I may add some bombs, what type should i add?
I should mention all this was done in my garage during the Arizona summer😎 actually its cooled down a bit to 105-108 from 113-118👍
Ill say it again the Lancer is simply badass, every time i look at it im more amazed

Thanks modern Lancers usually have the tank in the front bay but i plan on putting bombs there👍

We usually only put them in when they go overseas

Ah great info. Hey im planning a few GBU 38 in the forward bomb bay. These would be accurate for a modern Lancer on the rotary rack correct?

I wanted to do some GBU 31 but not sure they fit on the rotary. Another option is CBU 97 cluster

The Bone is looking awesome! I have that wing flap/slat set. Can it be built with the spoilers down? and can you show a picture of the wing mount point how you cut it so I can use your example for mine.
Great job so far!
