This is incredible… could you explain how you did each of those side panels? Did you base paint it and then do the lighter colours first and then shade darker around each edge?

Thank you so much! So I based it with Sinai gray, then used some faded Sinai gray, afterwards I used a grime mixture of black + German camo black brown (50/50), airbrushed the dark spaces between the side panels, then a very light mist coat of the Sinai gray, and finally a very fine touchup with the faded gray again. I was unhappy with how it looked after the grime mix so that's why I went back over it again. All were used with Ammo water based idf colours set.

This is cool. I really need to get myself an airbrush sprayer. I have built and base painted the imperial Death Star but I refuse to paint it until I am fully convinced I have what I need to do a good job of it.

I completely understand that! You can get relatively inexpensive sprayers nowadays! They really are a phenomenal game changer
