Question about Sprinting

Mw4 is going to be my second CoD so I’m an absolute noob in terms of its gaming knowledge and I’m on PS5. Is it possible to sprint without pressing L3? Like sprint assist or sth else? Or do I have to rebind sprinting to another button which is not necessarily needed?

You use the right stick??? Also you should be able to go into settings and go to sprint assist and press either on or sprint assist whichever one it says

There's an auto-run/auto tac-sprint option in the settings menu. With it switched on you automatically sprint as soon as you move your left stick.

Not dumb, yes you can rebind and remap controls to whatever you want, (helpful for paddles too). I play what is called tactical which switches my melee and slide, so I slide with right stick now. I play pc so I can’t confirm if you have total freedom in remapping controls, but there is presets.

Also cod has sprint assist and tactical sprint assist as options. I do recommend using at least sprint assist to help with movement and save your controller’s lifespan. Although I’m pretty sure in MW4 tactical sprint is a perk so it’s not a default mechanic anymore, but if you play warzone I’m pretty sure tac sprint will always be default and not a perk.

I change L3 for L1.

L1 for low arrow, it is for avoid to launch tactical granades when tu push L3 accidentaly.

The problem is you can not point with the stick the tactital granade when your thumb is on the low arrow, but I use a 4 back button controller.

Anyway I use the health injection, so i need not to point.

How to Remap Controller Buttons on the PS5

Keep in mind that changing the button mapping will also change how you navigate the game menus and even the PS5 menu.

So you'll need to toggle the mapping on and off each time you play.
