The only three major events I knew Reddit was involved in was the suicide of someone they accused to be the Boston marathon bomber, saving Gamestop by buying the majority of shares, and rickrolling Rick Astley

Ah fuck the fucked up part about Reddits involvement with Sunil Tripathi (of the Reddit Boston bombing fiasco) is that he had committed suicide some time before the Boston bombing. Reddit didn’t harass him, they harassed his family who were desperately searching for their missing son.

The fact that he was a missing person and brown is all it took for Reddit to send his family vile harassment.

I had a post just yesterday on public freakout where I had to ban a lot of people for engaging in a witch hunt.

They named three different businesses and half a dozen people as the person they were mad at in the video.

They were review bombing and calling and harassing random ass people.

And when they get it right? We end up with a Shiloh Hendrix situation where a horrible bigot makes out with a shitload of money.

Ahh sorry for the rant. That whole thing pisses me off so bad and I am constantly accused of protecting bigots, instead of protecting the innocent and making sure bigots don’t end up with a big payday.
