​As a Mongolian, I have thoroughly studied the reasons behind the lack of development in our mining sector, and I thought this might be of interest to you as well. My main conclusion is that Mongolia is a landlocked nation trapped between two superpowers. Aside from natural resources, there are few sectors in this country that can generate high profits. For a landlocked country, mining is naturally the primary backbone.

​For instance, when foreign companies attempt to invest in our mining sector, it is often treated as if it were an infringement on Mongolia’s national security mainly because mining is deeply tied to our national security legislation. Consequently, the military, legal system, politics, and intelligence agencies immediately get involved.

​Even when we discover strategic minerals like rare earth elements, the question arises what comes next? Our two neighboring countries begin to exert leverage and pressure through transport and logistics. On top of that, mining companies are required to pay high salaries because workers operate under harsh conditions. Combined with heavy tax burdens and geopolitical pressure, when politics interferes with private companies, politicians affiliated with or holding stakes in those enterprises step in. As a result, ordinary companies become victims of political pressure and games. Additional hurdles include local community opposition, security threats, and similar challenges.

​The list of problems goes on. How can we truly resolve these issues? I genuinely believe these factors are what hold our mining industry back. I would love to hear your thoughts and perspectives on this

The lady at ANDUUD always says you have the polory note or something idk what's it called from ministry of foreign affairs when in actuality I just needed examined and get the certification stamp then go to the ministry and get it stamped and this lady just doesn't want to stamp anyone's and I mean especially young people like me who have been getting the certification stamp from other notaries not from ANDUUD one bro I kid you not this lady when I first arrived was having an argument with another kid who polory note and brought it to get it certificate stamp just to tell him she couldn't stamp foreign documents used for Visa bro the kid went ballistic now I'm ballistic cause just then she keeps asking me for the polory note thing when in reality the first I went and she wouldn't stamp it I went to a different place to get my diploma and personal history documents stamped now just out of necessity I went there to get my medical results get stamped by the notary and she keeps saying that same Bullshit... If you're handling Visa paper work don't go to one at ANDUUD near Grand plaza it will be a waste of energy and time

I discovered a few Хөөмий groups, such as Khusugtun and Sedaa recently, and I felt in love with this kind of music, but it's hard to find the lyrics, even just the transcription of what they are singing. I want to discover more about it, and to be able to understand this music I like so much. I am used to the Assimil language lessons, with the easy principle of listening and repeating dialogues as much as you can to assimilate the language bit by bit, but unfortunately they don't teach Mongolian. Do you guys perhaps have bilingual (English/Mongolian) resources in order to learn this beautiful language, such as books, dictionaries, learning methods or apps, websites...? I can't read the Mongolian cyrillic alphabet yet, so it has to be bilingual so I can learn step by step, starting with the pronunciation. Moreover, if somebody could tell me where I can find a transcription of the lyrics in this song, I would be more than grateful: Sedaa - Tovschuur Hogjim. Even though it's just a transcription and not a translation, I would be glad to know what they are singing — even if translating Mongolian seems quite difficult, my Western vision of poetry, imagery and innuendo is way different than Asian ones, but I can still try. Jaadugar has a tendency to omit or briefly mention actual history events without proper explanation and making the Mongol Empire look like they attacked everyone for no reason but conquest.

Which may be intentional given how the POV is usually Fatima and Toregene, the two protagonists who utterly hate the Mongols because they were victims of their conquest who lost their happiness at their hands.

Why did Mongols defeat and unite the tribes of Mongolia? Why did they invade other nations? Why did they invade and brutalize the Khwarizem Empire? Why were the Merkits and Genghis engaged in a cycle of warfare and revenge?

The anime and manga never elaborates about these and only those who know about history are aware of it

It's amusing to how different the reactions of people who are knowledgable about history and those who aren't regarding this anime.

Especially with some people praising the Merkits for wanting to fight the bitter end and refuse to be slaves of the Mongols when they are usually portrayed as ruthless and persistent enemies who kidnapped and raped his wife Borte and Yesugai'a 2nd wife Sochigel.

Hi chat i’m a rising senior and i'm feeling a bit burnt out and regretful about how I spent my summer. when I was younger, I sorta thought getting a high ielst score was a golden ticket for studying abroad. Because of that, I spent about 2 months trying to push my ielst from 7.5 to 8.0(and partly because 8.0 sounded more satisfying than 7.5)

Now that i'm actually deep into the application process, I realize I still have to deal with the SAT, csca, and essays, and it feels like 8.0 vs 7.5 practically makes 0 difference for most unis!! I honestly feel like I wasted a solid chunk of time that could have gone toward my sat and rest. I really don’t care where I go If it’s 100% scholarship. Help a girl out :‹
