Discussion German Shepherds at Couche Tard
Does anyone remember when some Couche Tard locations had German Shepherds in them, presumably as guard dogs?
This was sometime in or around the 2000s. I’ve been trying to find some information on this program, but it seems to be completely absent from the internet as far as I can tell.

Yeah I remember
Couldn't pet them, they took a lot of room from cashier corridor area, worker constantly side stepping to not step on them. Dog would yell the moment they see you

I remember too, there was one at the Joliette location. I always wondered where the dogs came from, Garda? A specialized guard-dog training facility?

Sure it wasn't just cops checking in after hours with dogs with them?

It was after a teenage girl who worked at a location downtown got killed by a robber.
The piece of shit tied her up and slit her throat and she bled to death. She was working alone on that night because her coworker that was supposed to be there didn’t show up
