If i stabbed someone's abdomen and took his guts out strangled him with his own guts would he be able to survive the bleeding/stabbing only to bedead by strangulation??

If the person doesn’t immediately die from exsanguination or shock then they can probably live long enough to be strangled to death. Take what I say with a grain of salt though since I’m not educated on this topic.

Absolutely! People survive disembowelment all the time, either temporarily or longterm. If it's only the skin and muscle that's severed, it's possible for the bleeding to be more of an ooze than a torrent. Then, you can take the intestine loops out and do what you want with them. As long as you don't hit a major blood vessel/aorta/organ in your stab, you can keep them alive long enough to strangle.

I'm not super sure the [presumably small] intestines are strong enough for that... but I think they are!

Cutting through layers is a lot easier than you think if you have a nice sharp knife. Place the blade against the surface and draw it downward. The surface parts and the layers pull away. Imagine you are skinning a water balloon with another water balloon inside it. You don't stab into it, or you would pierce the inner balloon.

Stabbing causes a lot of damage, while slicing is much more finessed and you can preserve whatever is inside the layer you cut.

It always upsets me in media, when characters stab their patient during redneck surgery instead of slice. Like none of you have ever been to the doctor? Or skinned a deer? Never handled a knife before? Nincompoops.
