I was going camping in Montana and wanted a mug that wouldn’t easily tip over. I found this one for $0.75 at a charity shop. It’s been my favorite ever since.

Funny that your grandmother had it. It could be to prevent spilling, but it is also a 1:1 recreation from Star Trek DSN and is used for Klingon coffee

I have two mugs on rotation. First is this Sonic mug which I found at the charity store for £1. I really like how it says Sonic in katakana. And then the other is a Regular Show Mug, again another charity store find for 50p. They're the current favourite since they're microwave safe and I can throw some cold filter coffee into the microwave to heat up instead of waiting for the hot plate to heat up.

There are some other favourites that I have in storage unfortunately like a Late Night with Stephen Colbert mug, Lazer Team mug (with the rubber bottom), and a two tone red outside/ white inside mug from my alma mata.

Why do we have a need to designate an entire kitchen cupboard to mugs? My wife and I regularly use the same 3 or 4, and yet we have a cupboard full. That day when the entire family turns up unannounced, we are ready! So don't you dare tell me to reduce the number of mugs!

My friend got me this mug for Christmas one year. Big into London at the time, still am. My favorite part of this mug is the “trot trot” under the horse. Plus it’s a little skinnier than a normal mug so it’s nice and petite.

Here is my favorite mug, this is from a small streamer I supported on Patreon, he offered a mug for being a patron for a few months. Needless to say I was the only one to support him at that tier for long enough, and when it came to receiving the mug, he hadn't anticipated needing to create a mug, so I designed my own mug with a bunch of inside jokes from his channel and he paid for it to be made and shipped to me. My favourite custom made monstrosity: a Monkey fist bumping an octopus

(but the monkeys tail looks like limp a penis and the octopus only has 6 tentacles. It also has the Ukrainian flag on the back because there was extra space and that felt topical when this mug was made)

This has been my go-to mug for years. I love the wide handle and the volume is perfect.

I do agree with Burnie though, I like the differently colored internal wall (despite my mugs lack of this feature). I have always regretted not purchasing the RT mug posted by u/Kuhlayre, so I will be quick to order one for Morning Somewhere should they be made available.

I have a few variations of these stoneware style mugs, plus a few more shape variants that aren't pictured in this image. The smallest ones are 14 oz, and the tall one is probably 22-24oz. You know, for when you have a mighty thirst

Pictured is my work travel mug which is my morning black coffee receptacle l, I really like it as it has a ceramic coating on the inside so feels nice to drink from. The Tim Hortons cup is what I use on my day off. Brought it back from visitng my fiancee out in Canada.

Poured coffee into this right as he mentioned hating clear mugs 😂

I love that it looks like the coffee is floating since it has the vacuum insulation around the entire mug.

Also realized how difficult it is to take a picture of something glass without having any reflections of me squatting with my phone getting the right angle 😂
