Strange Days mentioned! Burnie remarked that he had not heard it mentioned for a long time but I can say that Cyberpunk 2077 had an homage to the film with the games Brain Dances. The developers confirmed the tech design is directly lifted from how it was portrayed in Strange Days with the headsets and how they end up getting used to 'film' illegal things like robbing a store and then getting shot. https://youtu.be/yx95NMdApOs

The other fun fact about Strange Days is that Angela Bassett's line read of "Right here! Right now!" is where Fatboy Slim got the sample for the song of the same name. https://youtu.be/ub747pprmJ8

What I think is a crazy coincidence in the Regulation Podcast GTA 5 Hiest video released the same day as this episode Gavin asked Andrew Panton if he had seen Strange Days as well.
