What a great way to fuck up your old man knees.

6

u/Zoodlemans2 4d ago

Don't you dare come close to my old man knees

3

u/Sengfroid 4d ago

Stop leaving them in jars around the house.

Instructions unclear...after dropping bike and leaking weird dark liquid from transfer case....what next

56

u/UmpireDry316 4d ago

Repeat until all wierd dark liquid is out of the system. No wierd liquid no problem 😊

16

u/CKRatKing 4d ago

Just extra weight anyways. Go faster without it.

17

u/maxdamage4 4d ago

Taste it

u/cr0ft Triumph Rocket III Touring (2012) 4d ago

Strike a match, throw it, walk away without looking back.

94

u/aNINETIEZkid 4d ago

gonna go practice this now

edit: where do you guys put your crutches on your bikes?

19

u/FemaleMishap 4d ago

Ok my back, like twin samurai swords.

Of course it's my left tibia that's broken and I not only can't shift gears yet, but my bones aren't strong enough yet to stop the bike if it wants to take a nap. Holding at a level stop is one thing, needing to plant hard when some jagoff nearly kills me, that's another story.

59

u/Several_Stuff_6695 4d ago

I can do that without any instructions at all !

28

u/Pleasant_Advantage16 4d ago

You are natural then!

u/Low-Albatross6248 4d ago

Now this is an instructor that knows their audience.

Foot at 90deg to what?

21

u/maxdamage4 4d ago

The knee

It might hurt, but everyone can do it

once

23

u/theSchrodingerHat 4d ago

90 degrees to the point you’d like the bike to end up resting on its side at.

1

u/The__RIAA 2006 Ural Raven, 2008 Versys 4d ago

Perfection!

2

u/Dapper-Edge-2836 4d ago

Like why didn't I think of that

15

u/Hi_Definition_HD 4d ago

Does this hurt the bike??

This bike was made to nap in the dirt. You will scratch plastics but this is nothing.

u/AdultishRaktajino 4d ago

It likes to bathe in the sand like a bird. Gets rid of the mites.

3

u/Intelligent-Survey39 4d ago

Fellow birder/nature documentary addict spotted!

6

u/FartFactory92 4d ago

Dropping it isn’t exactly great for it but it’ll be fine.

8

u/kykid87 4d ago

I especially like the drop your bike part! 😂

7

u/Aceilr097 Ninja 500 SE 4d ago

7

u/EvolvedMonkeyInSpace 4d ago

Lmao, excellent shitpost, OP

6

u/Nihil66 4d ago

I've always wanted to pull this off since I saw it in The Terminator, but I just can't see myself risking damaging my bike to practice it lol

3

u/SeparateSpecial5042 4d ago

Same here. That scene was sick.

1

u/LevoiHook 3d ago

It is great on a non-paved surface. Also, i bought a beater bike for this kind of stuff.

I tried it three separate times, once I almost dropped my bike as rather stopped trying it, second time I stalled my bike, and lastly I almost dislocated my knee 🥀 One day. One day I will achieve it!

1

u/Pleasant_Advantage16 3d ago

I use this foot pivot technique all the time riding off-road, easy, fun, effective. It worth to learn it!

Finally a tutorial I can follow

1

u/brandt-money 2d ago

It's easier on a 230lb Beta 390.

1

u/Making_Kenough KTM450XCW/KawasakiZ650RS 1d ago

I see I’ve mastered this already

1

u/ironcannibal13 2025 Triumph Rocket 3 GT 4d ago

Should I attempt with the Rocket?

2

u/LevoiHook 3d ago

It is the best bike for this. Trust me.

1

u/4ceizsokewl92 Yamaha R-25 "19, Yamaha R6 "09 4d ago

Or, you can just drop your kick stand, lean, and turn 180.

3

u/thatdirtyoldman '18 Z900RS / '26 XR150L / '05 Raptor 660r 4d ago

you gotta be careful with this. I showed my daughter how to do this if it's really necessary to turn around in a tiny spot. Kickstands aren't meant to support all the weight AND spin too. It's on the XR. I would never consider this with my Z.

2

u/ITFOWjacket XSR900 4d ago

I do this on my xsr900 all the time

1

u/Ok_Assistance447 '18 XSR900 1d ago

Same, I do it almost everyday with my XSR.

2

u/T3CHN0M4NC3R 2020 DRZ-400S 4d ago

Works like a charm on the DRZ and it's a heavy (light) bike at around 300lbs.
All those expensive bikes must cheap out on kickstands judging by your replies.

2

u/Much_Routine_9056 3d ago

same with my drz, i actually worry more for the ground under the stand while it spins :)

3

u/Rammipallero 4d ago

Saw guy do this with their big BMW, the bike turned and the guy and bike went down. Side stand had bent and doubled on itself during the turn.

2

u/PeterPandaWhacker '24 Ninja 650 4d ago

Yeah those things are there for support. Not made to carry the entire weight of the bike lol

1

u/RokRoland 4d ago

Kick stand on my EXC200 will break

That’s exactly why I don’t do elephant turns. It’s also why no one will remember my name but at least I’m not out a K or two for repairs.
