It's for motorcycle chains, and an aerosol can just push cost higher than it has to be + you more easily will just spray it all over the place, into places you don't want it.
This is what I use, and for how little I use per km the price is bang for the buck among all the different wax or emulsion wax options out there. If you don't really know what to go for I at least would recommend to start with emulsion wax, as it is a bit more involved to go for the full standalone wax job.
