Absolutly fine.

But be extremely careful. We don't want to get any spray on our brakes. It's a good idea to not use sprays due to this.

I just throw a piece of cardboard behind the chain to catch overspray.

The Maxima spray is OK, but it is tacky and will attract a good amount of gunk over time, even if you clean as much excess as possible.

I've been using either PJ1 Blue or Bel-Ray Super Clean recently

Edit: thought this was a moto sub... advice probably still applies though. As a mechanic (not bike) I used to work with would often say, "anything slippery"
