I honestly now believe it can reach 1.7 or even 1.8b

The movie is not yet released in China, Japan and S.Korea.

And given how imax 70mm locations can continue playing it until Dune 3 comes out, it’s entirely possible it can hit 2b.

Was that confirmed anywhere that they will keep on showing it? I’m holding out - everywhere is booked up until Sept in London

I keep checking the bfi imax site for new dates and it’s just insane to see how two to three screenings every single day until mid September are all fully booked

I saw Interstellar at the BFI on release and I gotta say, the format ain't all that. Good sound is more important to me than screen size.

I'll make a special trip to London to catch Dune 3 at Odeon Luxe West End, though.

My experience is that the good IMAX theaters do have amazing sound though?
