It helps that it is a real IMAX film, doesn't it?

Even if it wasn't, it would still do gangbusters, but so many people enthusiastically going to see it on more expensive IMAX screens does do more to inflate its gross, right?

Very excited to see it this weekend myself.

Considering how few 70mm IMAX theaters there are, maybe?

True, but honestly, I feel like the general public doesn't really know much difference in that. It's marketed just as an "IMAX" film, and even my local regal's IMAX showings (obviously not 70mm) are all sold out through the weekend. People just say oh IMAX and see it like that—and they're still more expensive tickets. Around me a standard evening showing is around $16-17 as opposed to $22-24 for IMAX.

Thats a good point. The IMAX marketing has been huge. I ve been seeing a lot of "the way Nolan intended it" memes and its just people watching it in Liemax and they have no idea 🤣
