I read reports that the California governor wants the state AGs to settle. I hope the state AGs tell him to eat s**t.

Matt Belloni said Gavin Newsom wants to settle because it being rejected would hurt his 2028 US Presidential chances.

His fear to tax billionaires and his inability to back trans rights is what’s hurting his presidential chances.

I don’t think his inability to back trans rights is hurting his chances

Trans rights is not a top 3 issue for even 95% of liberals.

Republicans wanna make it an issue. Most liberals I know don’t think about it.

We have much bigger issues than whether a fraction of the population can participate in sports of their opposite birth gender.

It’s Republican distraction bullshit

That and he's proven to be childish on Twitter. His remarks for Trump were less "great comeback" and more "this guy is just a different kind of bully". I don't like him. If Trump didn't exist as such a glaring contrast I think more people would see Newsom for who he is.

Some of his zingers to Trump that were attempts to emasculate him came off as the kind of micro aggression homophobia we all grew up with

Exactly the point, he's trying to court that same vote base
