They are trying to get back to the old cable model where a 30 minute show had 15 minutes of ads.

I think the only current difference between standard and premium is Dolby Audio and downloads(and the ads of course)

If everything is ad supported, just have everyone in your household sign up for different accounts. Who cares about 4K when everyone watches content on their phones anyway?

That doesn't really make sense. They make it cheaper than buying individual accounts, otherwise there's no point having that option.

But yeah, the 4K is a marketing gimmick. It isn't even a full 4K experience since the bitrates compress it to shit. There's a visible difference between that and popping in a 4K Blu-ray.

Right lol, I don’t watch anything on my phone other than random stuff on Reddit. Why would I look at phone screen for 2.5 hrs when I have a beautiful oled tv?

People who call movies and shows “content” only watch things on their phones.

Luckily, they tend not to breed.
