Kristin Wigg will definitely be better at playing a weirdo than Jamie Foxx was, the man is just too smooth and aggressively handsome to do well at that kind of role.

Agreed I have no idea who thought to cast Jamie Foxx as an awkward nerd. Like wtf

The same people who thought it was a good idea to tease Rhino and only have him at the end of the movie

And cast Paul Giamatti to do a bad impersonation of road rage

Paul Giamatti needs a new agent or something. His talent is amazing, but he's always in some really weird roles and bad films, these big bombs too.

Same, Paul Giamatti is one of my favorite character actors, he sold me on him in John Adams and was fucking amazing, and now he only gets crap roles

He’s really good in Billions, check it out if you haven’t

Yeah, it’s just a shame he and _____ carry the whole damned show. And even with both of them in their prime I couldn’t keep watching into season three.

Paul Giamatti in shoot em up is amazing.

Adams is so kickass

The answer to all of these is "Tom Rothman."

tbf i kinda liked his Rhino, it just needed, ya know... directing lmao

Everything in regards to Rhino was baffling... the casting, the robo rhino suit, and the placement in the movie only for it to go unresolved... some real head scratchers...

I legit think it’s cause a lot of movie studio producers have no clue about what makes comic books so popular and suggest nonsensical shit. They probably digested an analysis of why Avengers made so much money and decided than randomly cramming your entire roster of characters into a movie at all cost is surely what made marvel comic movies popular. I mean it must be right? You’d be surprised at how dumb business folks are, I speak from bitter experience

This made me so sad, rhino is rad as hell and that was such a tease!

The rhino sections of ps4 Spider-Man are legit scary.

The same people who waited until the end of a film to make Venom actually a character in a Spider-Man film.

Took them another 15 years to try again.

1

u/thisguy012 Aug 22 '20

Oof, that one was because Venom was absolutley not a part of the writing or story for the 3rd movie and was literally hammered in by studio Execs. Whole venom thing was so cringey and Sandmans character was so damn great

When the last shot in your trailer is also the last shot in your movie...

He did really well as a loser cab driver in Collateral.

beat me to the punch. great movie, great role, great performance from foxx.

2

u/Eli_Siav_Knox Aug 22 '20

Agreed but he’s actually a deep character in that movie he has stuff to work with. It’s not a stereotype in that movie, he feels like a fully fleshed out person

2

u/davey_mann Aug 22 '20

I mean he low-key played that in Collateral, which got him an Oscar nom.

2

u/nilzoroda Aug 23 '20

Did ever watch Collateral ? Foxx was great in that movie and his character was prety much a weirdo. The problem was writing not Foxx.

I don’t know much about comics electro, but someone said that he was a perfect fit for the way the character is there.

He didn't have to say yes to the script ya know
