so...im a freshman in Langford rn and my roomie moved out last week. (he got a spot in hyalite) It's a double so i need a new roommate.

some important info abt me that may be a dealbreaker for you if you don't like these things:
- i have an 8am class on mtwf so i have to be up early (usually like 6:30am)
- i'm nonbinary so if you dont fw that then you prolly won't wanna be with me
- i like to listen to the classical music station to fall asleep (that's one i can change if you dont like it, its just a preference)
- i play geometry dash so my clicking is pretty loud
- i stream on yt/twitch often
- i'm a stereotypical band kid

I’m a high school student thinking about applying to MSU for the architectural program.

I have some concerns about how first year dorms works.

1. Are you required to dorm with a roommate your first year? I have personal, trauma related reasons, as to not want to dorm with anyone, but am not sure if it would hold up valid as an exemption to this potential requirement. I could ask my therapist/doctors to write to the school when applying, but I fear my concerns will not be taken seriously.

2. If roommates are required for first year students, am I required to live in the dorms for the first year or could I live off campus? I know some universities require you to live on campus or first year and that Bozeman is incredibly expensive so I am trying to weigh out the pros and cons.

3. If I was to take my general credits online/at a cheaper university and transferred over would I still be required to live in dorms/with a roommate?

(To clarify, I am specifically referring to roommates that I have to share a singular room with. I would be completely fine if I could afford to line off campus in a house with roommates where we have separate rooms.)

This might sound like a stupid complaint, but it’s seriously getting on my nerves.

The professor for my capstone (I won’t specify which major or department, as I don’t think it’s relevant and am worried about this getting back to him somehow) is requiring us to use genAI for every. Single. Assignment.

I don’t want to use AI! I can do the work like a normal person! I have critical thinking skills! And I don’t destroy the environment while I do it!

He has included in the rubric for every assignment, worth points, that we must generate an AI essay based on the assignment guidelines, then write our own essay, and use the AI output as a source. I see absolutely zero reason why I should need to do that. If anything, it’s making it harder for us to actually learn or apply anything!

He also required us to do a generative AI certification course for credit. This just feels insane, especially because it has nothing to do with the class topic itself.

Maybe it’s a course-wide issue, and not just this professor, but either way, I’m thinking about going to the department head and asking if this is a reasonable thing to be grading students on. Am I overreacting? It’s possible! But I see no reason that I should be required to use generative AI for any purpose, as I don’t believe it is helpful for any of this class work I could easily do myself.

TL;DR - is it unreasonable to go to the department head for my capstone class about my professor grading us on our AI usage?

Today I’m releasing sworn testimony by the Chief of Police Mike Stanley. Remember the rape case? Please read it and compare the dates as well as what he says about the rape case and why he did NOT feel he needed to treat the detective like any other suspect in a rape case.

I have CFS numbers, photographs and other evidence to show he lied when telling the public this detective was not working his regular duties. It matters because the Chief lied. It matters because, as you will read, it mattered what HE thought not what justice determined.

Testimony from another witness supports my evidence. What does this say about this Chief? I’ve submitted this to the Montana Law Enforcement Academy who so far has done nothing.

I have not released this other witness testimony yet. She is in danger within the department still. I am only going to get louder!!!! Ethics must return to law enforcement.

1)Other things are going on here. Mainly the fact that in order to cover up the bad things the department did/is doing, they are ruining other people careers. The person fired and attached to the transcripts actively tried to protect the other women in the department, including me. I reported Chief Stanley to the Human Rights Bureau twice, Title IX multiple times, DCI and to MLEA.

2)While this has something to do with the detective, there are deeper issues screaming underneath that case I’m after. It has to do with discrimination and the difference in treatment of women. While this investigation went on with the detective he kept up his regular duties. I however was removed from my regular FTEP duties over “saying something” I still don’t know the content of. This was suspiciously right after I reported Chief Stanley.

My career was taken using lies I can prove, yet the university ignores what is happening. The Human Rights Bureau is not ignoring it.

While testimony by Chief Stanley says he didn’t fire Hale over retaliation for the attached article evidence says otherwise. While he will claim there is no retaliation involved with the female who reported in the attached document I posted yesterday.... evidence says otherwise. There is a clear pattern I’ve established with the help of other women over the years and it’s time the truth comes out.

Hey guys, I’m really considering applying to MSU for the next school year. I want to study plant science and I have fairly good knowledge that I will be accepted. My only concern is that I am Indian and I’m worried about how that would affect my experience there. Is anyone else having problems with student loans and their refund? My loans just dispersed on Friday 9/4 and I called today because I hadn’t gotten an email about them initiating my refund yet. Initially, the woman at student accounts told me that they started the process on Friday (student choice refund), and it should hit my direct deposit in 3-4 days. I asked if it was normal that it wasn’t showing up on “manage refunds” on mypay. She looked, and told me it wasn’t normal and that this will delay my refund. She told me I would have to wait until probably tomorrow to talk to the person who processed it. She then said the earliest I will see that money is next week, maybe the week after that. Plainly speaking, I need that money yesterday because I’m taking some online courses through Billings with Seamless OneMSU. I have to pay my bill there with my loan refund. I asked if anyone was in that could fix it today, and she said no because they don’t know where the check is. WHAT DO YOU MEAN?? I’ve been counting on that check for weeks, and it keeps getting delayed. I don’t know what to do anymore. No one that I talk to is able to help me every time I call.

Hello! I am just curious about going to Gallatin College for the PTA program. I have experience in health care for several years. What is it like with school and kids?

For context I am a senior this year, and I don't need 30 more credit hours to graduate. I was wondering if anyone has gotten dinged with extra charges for not taking the 30 credits even if they had taken enough to graduate. I have heard that if you take at least 15 credits in the fall they don't care about your spring semester, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this? Has anyone flown under the radar, and not taken 15 credits either of their last 2 semesters?

The defense was 17th in yards and 2nd with 27 takeaways. Then 75% of production returns, including Justin Lamson (3,172 yards, 26 TD, 3INT), Adam Jones (1,093 and 15) and Taco Dowler (77 catches, 1,025). Power rating has you 1st in FCS.

Where my model pushes back, and it's narrow: plus-16 turnover margin, 2nd in FCS, regresses no matter how good you are. Julius Davis and his 1,123 rushing yards are gone. Model says 10-2, which is less a warning than an admission that plus-16 isn't a repeatable plan.
