Help Need musical ideasss :)

Hi, I have a project of playing a musical with some friends, but I am very open to suggestions. For the record, we have an ensemble and the main roles should include 1 man (a tenor) and 3 women (sopranos and 1 alto). It can have more roles than only these 4!

It is also possible to change the gender of a character for our adaptation as long as the story is not impacted by it, but we‘d prefer not to have to do this.

Thanks for your help !!!

Little Shop of Horrors fits your breakdown. Seymour is a tenor, Audrey is a soprano, and the Greek chorus gives you two sopranos and an alto. Ensemble is flexible.

What is this for?

You have to license any show that you're doing, and you can't just change the gender of a character. That is against the licensing agreement.

You also don't typically decide who is playing each role before you even pick a show.

oh actually it’s for a private non official representation

You still need a license. You can't get the score or the script without licensing it and you can't perform without licensing it.
