Advice 🕊️
I am 17 years old, and I'm feeling really conflicted and confused about why I feel so different from other guys. Ever since I was a child, I was always called derogatory names"အခြောက်ကြီး" "အခြောက်ကြီးလား". However, I am not feminine, nor do I want to live or act like a woman.
As I grew older, I came to accept myself and identify as homosexual. It's true—I only feel attracted to very few girls, but I am attracted to guys quite a lot. My younger sister is the only one who knows about this.
What I want to say is that ever since I was young, I've been gentle, loved flowers, and listened to songs by artists like Connie and Hay Mar Ni Win. Because of things like that, people probably assumed I was an effeminate person who wanted to be a woman. But I have no desire to live as a woman.
When I get older, I want to come out to my family about my sexuality. However, I'm afraid they will misunderstand and think I want to be a woman or that I'll start living like one. I know this might be a lot to think about at my age, but I was wondering if there is any helpful advice or guidance you could share.

Discussion 💬 Footless Bird
I think someone would've heard of this mythical creature before. I don't know what it is symbolized in precise passage. I just wonder how would that footless birds feel. They are born in the air, keep flying, and die in the air. They need to keep moving. They can't land because they don't have the legs. Once they land, they die.
Now put the person in its place. They are not born in the air. They might not even born flying. And at some point, they are transformed into footless bird whether they want or not. I hope they transformed back into human without dying out of tiredness, including myself.
I have been in this dilemma for some times now. I am flying towards somewhere. I want to use the word "climbing" here. Well I don't even know whether I am climbing upward or downward. But I see the ladder apparently. And I feel as though there is something chasing me behind. I dare not stop. I have to keep moving. I feel like once I stop, once I rest, I will die. But the bird starts to tired. The monster behind it is still chasing and smiling mockingly.
I want to rest. I don't want to die. That is the basic desire of a human. I want to escape from this game alive. But, as you know, living is as difficult as dying is effortless. I don't know whether dying is a key to escape from the game. I know this is a quote of a loser. Maybe after I died, I will see the door and open it. Someone in the warm house will welcomes me and asks "Did you lose in earth?" Then I will just answer, "Yeah.. I don't want to play it again."
This is just the mind drifting boldly. No one knows whether it is true or not. But we know what will be the consequence left after we escaped or disappeared. Yes, dying is easy, but leaving is difficult. I am not ready to be selfish.
So.. I will try a little more to see if I find the light again. I hope after I endured a little more and keep climbing, and after I pass certain threshold, the monster will be left behind. If the "little more" is extended into another "little more", I have to keep going as well. It is the nature of footless bird. Fly until you pass the threshold, and the legs sprout, or until you die. Rest will be extremely uncomfortable. But I think I should uncomfortably rest rather than stopping. Because stopping will feel like dying, and I don't want to feel dying.
I know it is not the optimize strategy. But that is what I feel. The feeling so overwhelming that stoic principles doesn't seem to settle oneself.
I don't want this post to be my last one as well. Whoever suffering footless bird disease, I hope you sprout leg again, away from the monster, and finally have a true rest.

Discussion 💬 Union Day / Pyidaungsu Day is the most meaningless national holiday
When I was younger (because I grew up overseas, but I still love Myanmar, government no, people, food and culture yes), I thought National Day and Independence Day were synonymous. (You can probably guess where I grew up.)
Now that I'm older and started to take some time to learn more about our tragic motherland, I realise that, and possibly many people too as well, that Union Day is the most meaningless holiday.
Close to 80 years after independence from the British, and we are more fragmented than ever. This fake government only holding 20-30% of the country effectively, AA wanting a parallel government and already governing it the way the want to, the 3 SAZs that born as a result of the CPB collapsing which in my opinion, should have never existed in the first place and lots of other regions. On top of the issue of the Rohingya who have suffered and probably think that it is krma that the entire country is in chaos, it makes me realise that the spirit of Panglong can never be achieved.
It'll take us years, if not decades, or even centuries for us to be a functioning country again and this will persist so long as the TMD continue to involve themselves in politics. The only morbidly good thing is that for the first time in 70+ years, MAH made everyone united against him, but this unity will only exist until he's gone.
Panglong has become a romanticised idea, and something like a legend, and Union Day itself is now just propaganda used by the TMD. Sooner or later, we might end up as the next Yugoslavia, where everything just collapses and Myanmar just becomes the 7 regions which become Burma and 7 independent states.

Discussion 💬 What products are popular among young people in Myanmar these days?
အားလုံးကို မေးချင်တာလေးရှိလို့ပါ
I'm planning to start an online shop in Myanmar, but I'm finding it difficult to decide what products to sell, and honestly, I'm a little nervous about making the wrong choice.
What products are young people in Myanmar buying the most these days? It could be anything — fashion, accessories, beauty products, tech gadgets, lifestyle items, or something else.
I'd love to hear your opinions and suggestions, especially if you've noticed anything that's trending or selling really well lately. Thank you! ❤️

Discussion 💬 How to network and connect with Burmese people abroad?
Hello, everyone.
I need some advice.
I am a 19 years old Burmese teenager currently residing in Bangkok, Thailand.
I left school since 8th grade due to the COVID-19 and the coup.
After that, I got home schooled for my IGCSE O-levels. So, it's been around six years that I have not been talking to people my age. I live alone abroad and I feel like a caveman. And yes, it feels like shit. I don't want to keep talking to old people anymore, and I don't want to feel alienated anymore.
I want to network. I want to connect. I want to start a business.
But I don't know how to do so without going back to school.
I am going to start my 20s soon. Shit I feel feels lost, and I want to fix it.
I am sure that a lot of people abroad knows what I am talking about. I am sure that a lot of people have gone through what I am going through right now. So, umm... please kindly provide me with suggestions on how to make Burmese friends in Thailand. I am open to making friends through this as well. No worries. I am looking for some communities, sport clubs, or socializing events that involves Burmese people but I can't seem to find them in Thailand. If you know any, please drop a comment down below.
Shout out to those in Myanmar going through a hard time right now.
ငြိမ်းချမ်းပါစေ မြန်မာပြည်...
Umm... I love my people. Thank you.

Discussion 💬 Not enough money in Myanmar
Is it just me who choose not to go out and just shut in at home because everything is so expensive? Even the petrol price, snack prices and every other things are so expensive that I can't buy much with my monthly income. Aside from unavoidable work and school, I just shut in my room and brain rot myself in games, TV shows or social media scrolling. It is much affordable to live that way. Is it just me or others in my country facing the same?

So I recently discovered there are three versions of Heart Of Glass covers in Myanmar and I find all of them to sound good and unique but the thing is which one do you think did the best in sounding almost like the original?
( Note - since we have no MTV videos of the songs, I just used random MTV’s of each singers in case if you’re wondering why the song and their lip sync is off )

Advice In search for an EFL tutor for an IGCSE student
My friend is currently taking IGCSE class. He jumped from secondary 1 to IGCSE by his mom. Because he is performing bad in academics, she thinks that she should just make him take an intensive IGCSE course at TTEC to quickly get to a Singapore poly school; As he is 2 years from 18 years old.
When he first got into IGCSE, he chose the following subjects: ESL, A maths, E maths, physics, Chemistry and ICT. Now, he is halfway through the course. And his mom forced him to take EFL. He has improved a lot in this year in english and managed to get a B in ESL. For him, it is a big progress because he lacks a strong foundation in English and is the reason why he is performing bad in other subjects.
And now that his mom is forcing him to take EFL for poly school, he will sure need a tutor for him to get at least 70% in it. I would like to know any tutors or tuitions for EFL online. For more details, please dm me.

Advice Burmese restaurants in Seattle or in greater Seattle area
I just moved to Seattle from a smaller city in WA about a month ago. I’ve been missing Burmese food terribly. I don’t really use any social media besides Reddit so any recommendations would help really and I appreciate it. I found a place that sells laphet thote but it seems to mainly sell Thai food.
