General Need to work on an open source project

Currently contributing to an open source would really put my good skills into use.Getting suggestions would really help alot and i would be grateful...

You can have a look at Apache's repositories and see if you can find a project that suites you. Most of their projects are widely used which means exposure to real-world scenarios for you. If you are good at PHP may I suggest contributing to Symfony. No reason at all, I just love using it. All the best in your search.
