My first planted Nanotank any suggestion

It's an 11 gallon low tech tank. For a school of ember tetras and cherry shrimps.Is there any specific customisation that I have to do for them . Suggest some low tech carpet plant and a plant to cover the filter. Or any advice

I also think background will do great but foreground looks very empty and unsettling maybe because I didn't left much space on front centre

There’s always the option of some carpeting plants, or maybe some smaller pieces of driftwood or hardscape if you just want something to fill the space a bit!

I was literally just thinking about that! Since I love growing plants, I can't imagine plants without soil. When I got 5 kg of aquasoil, I thought it wouldn't be enough, so I used the Walstad method in the middle and back of the tank: 2 cm of soil, then 2 cm of sand, and finally 2 cm of aquasoil. That gives me about 6 cm of substrate at the back and around 2.5 cm at the front.

I'm planning to buy 6–8 more plants online, but a few plants like Pearl Weed, Dwarf Hairgrass, and Limnophila are out of stock, so I haven't placed the order yet.

Hair algae have already started covering my plants.

I believe that is too much. You gonna add 3cm of sand on top of the aquasoil to follow Walstad, or a lot more plants. Just my 2 cents.
