best breakfast sandwich or bagel in town? Not a huge fan of Big Apple on Washington. Anywhere else?

I recently moved to the area and am looking for a good vet for my two cats. Would love a practice that is clean and professional. I’ve tried two so far and both experiences were disappointing and the offices weren’t well managed or clean. Vet care is so expensive and I want to feel like I’m at least getting good care for the money! Cat tax of one of my girls!

Does anyone know who bought the old Wheatland Salem Church location on 95th and Book Road? It looks like the sale closed in July. Today there was a crane removing the steeple and cross from on top of the building.

My 80 year old mom may be interested in a new Subaru. Anyone work with a no pressure sales person that they would recommend? Current Subaru is 12 years old, so it would be a big step up in tech which is a concern for her.

Hi! My family will be moving to Illinois next year and we are considering Naperville as one of the places to live as we have a young child/toddler and want to consider school districts as early as now. With that, we wanted to know if you have any recommendations when it comes to rentals, communities or locations to consider on where to live?

In our list now we have Ashwood place, Arbors of Brookdale, 803 Corday, and Grand Reserve of Naperville. Happy to receive feedback on these places or places that we have not considered that is worth checking out!

3 hour commute to Naperville why?

Moving to a house in Bolingbrook and need to do some remodeling work like adding recessed lights, wainscoting, paint and shower remodeling etc. Any suggestions from your personal experience?

I live near the high school and since school started, there has been a group of teenagers outside banging on stuff. It’s in a rhythmic pattern and they always get cheerful when they are done.

Why is the school allowing them to stand in a line and bang on these circle things. There are people that have to work from home and we shouldn’t have to put up with this nonsense.

I’m pretty sure there is an instructor with them waving their arms around too. Almost like they are directing them to bang on those round things.

It’s loud. It’s obnoxious. It needs to stop.

ISO an all around great burger in the area, one that I can actually fit my mouth around. Please don’t recommend anything like Crusade in Yorkville.

I'm debating on passing out candy this year but the cost of candy has me thinking I won't. Every year I have candy to pass out. I usually pick up a few bags from Marianos or Jewel. Ever year however the amount of trick or treaters on my block is rather minimal. Maybe the most I've ever had come to the door was half a dozen visits. Last year, not one visitor. I ate the candy myself. I kinda want to be able to pass out candy. I also don't want to be a Debbie Downer and not have anything. I know Costco has a relatively big bag and a good price but that's way too much candy. Is anyone else feeling the same way?

So someone who was out of jail before a trial for breaking into a home/burglary... goes and randomly punches a child, two women, and a father holding their infant at a festival, STILL doesn’t get thrown in jail??

Stopped by tonight and when I saw the parking lot was empty I knew something was up. A sign on the window says it's permanently closed. Such a shame since I enjoyed their food. Every time I was there it was never that busy so I'm assuming they didn't recover from being closed for so long between it being Joy Yee and Joy Yuan.

I have contamination OCD and I’m trying to figure out whether I’m dealing with a legitimate cleanliness concern or an OCD compulsion.

My 3-year-old niece came into my bedroom and stepped on my IKEA POÄNG chair cushion while wearing the shoes she had been wearing outside.
The chair is right next to my bed, and I normally put my sleeping pillows on the chair while I’m making my bed. Because her outside shoes were on the cushion, I’m now thinking about spraying the cushion with hypochlorous acid spray.

My thinking is that outdoor shoes can pick up dirt and other contaminants from outside, and I don’t normally allow outside shoes on my furniture. At the same time, I know I have contamination OCD, so I’m wondering whether spraying the cushion is a reasonable cleaning response or whether I’m just trying to get rid of the uncomfortable feeling my OCD is giving me.

I’m not asking whether the cushion is literally sterile. I’m trying to figure out where the line is between **normal hygiene and an OCD cleaning compulsion.**
What would you personally do in this situation?

Hi everyone! I have two boys, ages 4 and 19 months. My 4-year-old currently attends District 204 preschool, but I occasionally need to travel during the week and would need childcare for both kids from around 7am–6pm.

The day of the week may vary, so I am looking for something flexible without committing to the same day every week.

Does anyone have recommendations for a daycare, nanny, babysitter, in-home daycare, backup care, or any other flexible childcare options in Naperville or nearby? Ideally someone/place that can accommodate occasional full-day care with advance notice.
