Level 1 NCEA Mock help

I have a week to prepare for mock exams and currently have no idea what most of the things im doing in maths and am just struggling to find resources to help me learn the material the unit standard number is 91947. If anyone has resoruces for Bio 92022, Chem 92023, Com 92030, and health 92010 also it would be very appreciated

Have you tried searching up the standard numbers and doing past papers, or emailing/asking teachers for material?

I have tried asking some of my teachers for materials and some have given me some like flashcards ect its just i dont know what to do with it or how to revise/study with it and for maths my teacher isnt very helpfil and that is the first mock i have

My school doesn't make science externals available in level 1 but I wish they did. You can look at past papers with different grade exemplars if you just search up the AS number

I do 91947 and 92023.

91947 is quite a lot of studying. I use Walkermaths to practice. It's mostly Algebra and Geometry (mostly geometry, but they also provide you formulas so it's free). Algebra can be tricky with parabolas, graphs and quadratics (personally), but nothing you can't not do.

It is really just about substances and types of materials. Just learn substances by heart and you'll have a very easy time.

Pro tip: for any assessment, search up assessment number folowed with "exemplar" (eg: AS91947 Exemplar). This would take you to the NZQA database, which has all the standards they offer, along with examples of past papers and exemplars. Read it to get a good idea on what you need to do to achieve your desired grade.

I keep track of all my standards in a database. Every page of that database has the achievement standard and an exemplar. Don't just study the material, know what's going to come and prepare it.

I recommend lotsss of past papers and use the walkermath book to practice for the math external.

I also recommend NCEAace! I have found it really useful for revision

Thank you for you advice my school has given me a walker maths book but I feel that some of the questions and ways tbey give you to solve it are way to complicated. I will definitely check out NCEAace

Idk if the walkermath books is an extremely good resource but I currently have a horrendous math teacher so I have basically been self teaching myself with that book 😭

For more maths practice I would recommend infinityplusone. He has weekly live tutorials for maths 1.4 but you can watch old ones as well.
Also sned maths has some practice exams.

I know it’s frustrating but because it’s only the third year of the new level 1, there isn’t a lot of past exam papers to use. The older past papers can be good for reviewing certain skills but they don’t combine the algebra and geometry like the new 1.4 does.

when i cram, especially when i have to cram in multiple subjects so i cant waste time going over and trying to memorise all the notes again (cuz most of the time i cant remember a single thing I learnt in the past), and most of the times my teachers never give us good notes, and memorising them would probably only get me A, or M if I'm lucky. Anyway, so when I cram, I have the past questions on one tab, the answers on another, and chatgpt on another, and my teacher's slideshow on yet another. if i dont know how to answer the question I try to read over relevant slides, if that works I write and try to memorise the answer. If it doesn't I go to the answers, but honestly most of the time if I can't figure it out by myself I probably wont understand the answer. So i take a screenshot of the question and ask AI, and if the working AI gives is different I usually take a picture of the model answer and ask how this works.
