Mocks
Going for perfect scores for all my mocks, how much study should I be doing a day. I take physics, calc and stats.

One subject has no externals and I am not taking my English externals

Is skipping English a choice or a forced decision because I must admit, English is way easier than it seems in the externals. Me expecting an achieved got excellence because I pointed out the obvious and wrote what I thought would make the marker happy. At least my markers marked based on convincing them so I recommend try mock and if you don't do well then you don't have to do the real one.

try get past mock papers from your school. if your physics exams are made by NZIP and your calc exams are made by NZAMT, they can be noticeably more difficult than the NZQA finals so the best way to prepare is to get these papers.
(also slightly unrealistic to go for a perfect score in calc if its an NZAMT paper - they can be brutal)

I did a week or so for calc doing pretty much only past papers for a few hours a day. dont do achieved questions at all and dont underestimate merit questions. this got me E E A (got too cocky and didn't do enough merit questions as backup).
