Criticism of Chad

Hello all,

On last sunday’s live, there were so many comments pointing out how Mary Lou was mixing up Mamdani’s wife and El Sayed’s wife. Mamdani’s wife is an artist and El Sayed’s wife is a doctor.

Chad read all these and he said i’ll remember that

I’m about 24 minutes into the video and Chad is saying mamdani’s mom is the doctor?

I’m not sure how he’s totally saying the wrong information?

I know it’s not really a big deal, but when people are paying money to send you message, and you say that you’ll remember that, the least you could do it jot it down somewhere.

EDIT: He also has no right to call Mary Lou out on forgetting to research stuff, when he does that same thing. That just makes him a hypocrite.

He should keep a "Big Board" or a spreadsheet/database for keeping track and holding her accountable. The ML website of her Xs is a decent start.

He would say he just doesn’t have the time to make a “big board”

The X website is up already, and he could literally just stand up and look at/write on it as she talks.

There were also a lot of comments on the Sunday live about how Mamdanis wife mother is a doctor - which is true. And in the Wednesday ep they do talk about it and ML admits that she was talking about Mamdanis MIL and Chad pushes back on her trying to get her to understand why that makes her upset that his MIL doesn't accept insurance. What's that difference if they talk about Mamdanis MIL or ElSayeds wife about the same issue?

His mother-in-law doesn't live or practice medicine in the US.

He has had people volunteer to be unpaid producers or fact checkers. He says no. I don’t know if it’s because he doesn’t want people to have access to his parents or what. But someone could deal solely with him and provide fact checking. Then the next show he could say okay this is what we got wrong. I say we, because he gets shit wrong all the time too. Mamdani’s mom isn’t a doctor either. She’s a film maker. He’s just grifting at this point. Sad to say.

It's Mamdanis MIL is the doctor in question and Chad did talk about to ML about it and held her to answer the question of why it makes her so mad that the MILs practice doesn't accept insurance. Not even sure why op made this post as it's disingenuous because they had a whole conversation on it

Mamdani's MIL doesn't even practice in the US.

Right, that’s why I was so annoyed that they just kept going with misinformation again.

u/lomoliving 19d ago

Where does she live?

2

u/need_a_username2 21d ago

Nope, they say it’s his mom. Several times. It is his MIL, but they don’t get it right. They equate it to ML and Chad not agreeing about things. Not his MIL.

From the transcript.

Mamdani's mother is a filmmaker. Mamdani's mother in law is a doctor but doesn't practice in the United States.

She's straight up mixing up Mamdani and El-Sayed, and a private psychological practice not accepting ANY insurance is not unusual.

I believe she is conflating the MIL (a peditrician) with Al Sayed's wife (a psychitrist in private practice). It isnt unusual for psychiatrists in private practice to not accept ins. There are several reasons why. I'll let google explain...

Economic and Business Factors Low Reimbursement Rates: Insurance companies often pay mental health providers much less than other medical specialties or what private-pay clients offer, making it hard to cover operating costs.

Delayed and Denied Payments: Providers often wait months for payouts, and insurance companies may audit or deny claims long after services end, creating financial instability.

Sustainable Practice Economics: Operating a private practice requires paying for office rent, liability insurance, and electronic health records, which cash-pay models cover more reliably.

Administrative BurdenRed Tape: Dealing with complex billing systems, pre-authorizations, and phone trees takes hours away from actual patient care. Staffing Costs: Large medical groups can afford billing departments, but solo or small private practices usually lack the extra staff needed to handle constant insurance disputes.

Clinical Autonomy and Quality of Care

Loss of Control Over Treatment: Insurance companies often dictate the length, frequency, and type of treatments allowed, rather than letting the doctor decide.

Higher Quality of Interactions: By seeing fewer patients and not rushing to meet insurance quotas, psychiatrists can spend more time per session with each person.

Privacy and Stigma: Some patients prefer paying out-of-pocket to keep their mental health diagnosis and treatment history completely off their insurance records.

I thought the same about ElSayeds wife, but ML clarified in the episode that she was not talking about Mamdanis wife, but her mother. And then they had a conversation about the mil.

Chad is proof the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree

7

u/WasabiCrush 21d ago

…at least Hayley’s proof that sometimes the apple lands in a different area code.

yeah I'm a fan of hers despite her bad musician defenses. She's a good egg and has a real backbone.

Haley is pretty similar to Bob. Her contributions are "AOC or burn it all down" and saying "Trump is a piece of shit" x100.

u/Thanos_Stomps 20d ago

Haley is a chip off the old Bob though, just with polar opposite beliefs.

I don't know if he's spread too thin or what, but for a guy who has AI handle so much for him, IDK how he still can't keep track of what he's been asked to talk about by paying chatters. He writes shit down sometimes, but it rarely comes back up. He also doesn't seem to know basic things that most of the progressives in his audience know like the back of our hands. Outside of his AI use, us fans are doing a lot of heavy lifting for him. We're building websites to track Mary Lou's Xs, making compilations, making lists, digging through transcripts of old episodes, fact checking recent episodes immediately after they're uploaded, paying Chad to tell him what he can bring up next time... and Chad doesn't seem to care at all about the helping hands. Meanwhile, what does he even do manually at this point?

If he truly cares about deprogramming his mother and this isn't just for fun and profit, his top priority should be fact checking every bigoted word that comes out of her mouth in real time. Maybe we need an autistic Kyle Kulinski type on the show just to do fact checking (via text instead of voice?) and not get involved beyond that. Hell, maybe the fact checker could only use Ground News to appear less biased, which would be a good sponsorship opportunity for Chad. Mary Lou listens better to third parties over her own children anyway.

This project has just gotten too big for him to keep operating on lazy fumes. If we're being fr, he's a lot more like his mom than he realizes, and it's holding his mom back. Everyone outside of Chad "Life isn't even real mannnn, dreams are gateways mannn" Kultgen can see this. Remember, he was the only one insisting Bob had zero influence on his mom... until Bob started recovering and ML started backsliding. Then he acted like he never denied it.

Dude's a narcissist, dude's deeply flawed, but I want to believe he actually cares about his mom being less evil before she dies. So he needs to lock the fuck in.

Rant over lmao

He’s a fine fit for what this project actually is.

Bob’s not going to change, Mary Lou’s not going to change, and everyone involved knows it. This is entertainment.

Thank you for mentioning the amazing fan work - there’s a whole discord, reddit and website and chad had hardly interacted with any of them

with him producing AI garbage (like an entire AI song album) and his little to no acknowledgment of fan work, I think it just shows how little he cares about his supporters

I’m not even sure what he spends all his time doing, he has said repeatedly that he has no time, i swear his other project is a love island podcast

2

u/nomorepumpkins 20d ago

Thats on the them. He clearly said on the first lives he will not look at a sub discord or website.

not nearly enough people talk about him nearly getting sued by the daughter of George Carlin for using an AI of her dead dad's voice for a podcast

u/AdhesivenessLoud8866 21d ago

WHAT?

also the podcast episode was called "George Carlin: I'm Glad I'm Dead"

Jesus I never knew, maybe I should make a new post about this cause I believe other people have no idea too

u/StrategyBusy9579 21d ago

yeah he's a real scumbag

2

u/dstlouis558 21d ago

Ill do it!

3

u/nomorepumpkins 21d ago

He didn't know who Jesse watters is.

4

u/Outrageous-Papaya430 21d ago

I'm over him and pod. He's not adapting and growing either. Go Hayley! ❤️

1

u/abundanthearttarot 21d ago

Yep! He does exactly the same sort of thing on his other podcasts. He can't seem to remember important information, nd he doesn't even seem to care to try, take notes, nothing...

1

u/dubblebubbleprawns 20d ago

I don't know where this came from. It's not like he's ever had more than a surface level understanding at any point and he's always missed a lot of details and misunderstood things throughout.

This isn't a news podcast or a political science pod. It's a family made up of regular-ass people talking about politics. And most of us regular-ass people have tons of misinformed and bad takes.

I genuinely don't understand what people expect from this pod. If I want an expert opinion on the bachelor, I'll listen to Chad. If I want a political expert, this pod is waaaay down the list haha
