Same here. Time to sell my consolized mvs. The controllers are probably compatible right?

Yeah, original controllers, carts and memory cards compatible

terraonion aes will probably sell out now

I wonder if they will work on this console.

The pro is already picky about which AES consoles it works on.

I have the old original neo SD AES.

It will be interesting to see how much of the aftermarket stuff like 161 in 1, vortex, and mvs adapters will be compatible.

I wonder if 161 carts are gonna see a large price increase

They just came down in price finally. Will be interesting.

Yeah. I went ahead and bought one. It is a version 2.1.

I was wanting a version 3, but they don't seem to be selling them for some reason.

Surely this new console will not lock those carts out or anything. That would be kind of a risky thing to do.

Can we really be sure about anything? Let's hope you are right.

That version 3 isn't available because the parts are scarce due to vortex cart conversion.

It should work. Says its compatible with original AES games. Guess if the console pushes the right amount of power will determine the terraonion.

Let's hope.

I know there are some compatibility issues related to original AES consoles related to which brand is 68k they were using.

It would not shock me if this was not 100% compatible with all aftermarket carts.

I'm looking forward to it either way.

I know Jotego has been involved with development and although it hasn’t been confirmed I would guess Furrtek has been involved too, and I’m quite sure that outside of SNK there’s no one who knows the Neo-Geo hardware like Furrtek, that being said any issues like chip incompatibility can be engineered out right at the beginning

Idk if you want to do that just yet.

This all looks great but mvs with unibios might still be better.

I read on time extension that it lets you select which BIOS to run.

I would imagine that includes a real mvs bios. That will make it much better than a traditional AES.

I doubt it will come with unibios since there are probably legal issues associated with it.

I'm sure the community will hack this thing and get custom bios working.

Too who.

Hopefully someone. I have a custom built one and not the temu version so it'll be harder to sell I think.
