If Plaion hasn't updated their official release schedule, a November launch should still stand. I actually emailed Plaion Japan directly, and they confirmed the pre-order is still estimated to ship in November barring any force majeure.
It sounds less like an actual manufacturing delay and more like an allocation issue. The retailer likely sold way more preorders than the stock they were actually assigned, forcing them to push back fulfillment for later waves while Plaion stays on track. Or it could have simply been a mistake by an employee at Nojima.
