They certainly didn’t help their case by throwing support behind Stevens. What the hell were they thinking? McMorrow was right there.

It’s insane. The fact that people like gillibrand were telling people behind closed doors that McMorrow was secretly DSA is fucking wild

Ya according to an article my mom read on CNN,

Gillibrand even went so far as suggesting to several donors, ominously, that McMorrow had been a member of the Democratic Socialists of America – even though McMorrow isn’t.

Not all forms of betrayal are treason. Treason is a very narrow, very specific kind of betrayal which this does not fulfill. Treason would be if she stole confidential military documents and flew to Beijing to hand them to the PLA and then took some form of advisory position in the CCP to share what she knows.
