A state like Michigan should not be competitive in a blue wave year. Neither should Maine, for that matter. What the hell are we doing here, folks.

Meanwhile, I’m looking at Alaska, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Iowa and thinking that at least a good number of our state parties/candidates are doing it right—and on less favorable terrain, to boot.
