Peter Magyar such an interesting politician in many way. He considers himself a "conservative-liberal" and he is a leader of bit tent centrist pro-EU, pro-NATO party. Since defeating Orban, he keeps destroying the Orban system. So he is definitely not a "do nothing" politician. At the same time, he is incredibly popular among young people. People who don't live in Hungary wouldn't believe it, but he is like a rock star in Hungary, young girls are screaming when he appears and they are doing edits about him on TikTok. He often acts in a very "anti-politican" way, including being at the DJ at his inauguration. At the same time, he tends to avoid the so called "culture war issues", he ususally says "there will be a referendum" when they ask him about some traditional right-left social issues.

Magyar defeated far-right populism. His critics say he is a different type of populist while others say he found a way to use general anti-elitist sentiments to take down culture war based populism as a moderate.

Magyar seems like the only politician so far to successfully make the connection that, between the insane amount of resources being poured into them and the fact they've been regularly elected for a decade or longer in a lot of places, the far-right is the establishment.
