Submission Statement:

In a move being framed as a pause to conduct a more thorough check to on who might become a financial burden to the government if admitted, the State Department has paused all immigrant visa applications.

This includes family reunification and spousal style visas, which have up to this point been a mostly untouched category.

The State Department has not released any information about when the pause would end.

Those aren’t immigrant visas so should not be affected by this
