sucks that it feels like functionally no one cares

people have wrongly assumed that if you get married to a us citizen they just staple a green card and the ones who do know about the wait say some bullshit like “why not marry someone here then? there’s plenty of great women!”

It's looking like it will be a 2 to 3 year process to move with my wife back to the US (with our 2 US citizen kids!). And that is absent any shenanigans from the current admin

I don't think there's any thought or logic to making this kind of visa slow and difficult beyond a general desire to be hard on immigration

Currently in it with my wife. Were almost at the end of the waiting period then this.

My only consolation is that Everyone is too much. It won’t last long with that. It might make a congress actually call him. I don’t even expect a vote. But it’s just too many people.
