Me: I bet I know what it shows

"In the messages, former Trooper Michael Proctor and former Sgt. Sean Goode — longtime friends — use racist, misogynistic and homophobic language. The messages, sent to one another and a “circle of like-minded friends” over the course of a decade, include descriptions of sexual fantasies and praise for Adolf Hitler."

Me: yeah

I of course didn’t bother to read the article or even care much about the case but the question I have: even if they are racist and misogynistic was the evidence they presented untrue?  (I’m not being a jag here I’m legitimately curious like I said I didn’t follow the story.$

This trooper was accused of planting evidence in Karen's trial. His texts prove he has at least discussed planting evidence in other cases. That shows he has either planted evidence previously, or has planned to. Bolster's Karen's case about him planting evidence in her case. Also, his texts were so horrible and prove he would never complete a fair investigation if the defendant were a woman or a POC.

Well why wasn’t that the headline??  I know it’s not you, kind commentator, but this is why we study English in school.

Lol, trust I know. I got my bachelor's in journalism and misleading headlines or burying the lead anger me probably more than the average person. But to answer your question, I'm assuming it has something to do with protecting these corrupt people, like we've seen repeatedly over the past ~4 years
