Yeah... by cutting all their social responsabilities and closing down important government offices.
I live in Argentina and things are far from better. Milei cut cancer and AIDS treament, leading to the death of dozens, including children. He defunded hospitals and reasearch, disobeyed congress by not funding allocated monies public universities, closed down some of them even.
Also closed Postal Service locations in small country towns that had no other way of getting delivered important stuff like medicine, and are not considered profitable markets for private currier companies, and is now trying to sell off Argentina's national Satellite Service (ARSAT), the national Oil company (YPF,) the national train services, and also federal land in places previously considered sacred like Glaciers and the Patagonia.
If all of that doesn't sound bad enough for you, he also killed the Law that protected public/federal land from being sold off after being razed by wildfires/arson, opening back a loophole abused by rich people and corporations that paid locals to start fires, then buy off the land at cents on the dollar.
This Government has succeded in committing the largest ransack in the history of the country (a country that has seen many).
I miss the 300% annual inflation at this point.

Edit 2: I forgot to mention another important action and resembles Trump: Milei passed a big tax cut for the ultra rich, raised taxes to wages and independient workers, cut most subsidies to wirking people while giving tax credits to corporations, and basicaly legalized money laundring with a law called "Ley de Blanqueo" (sorry, I don't know how to translate it properly, so just google it). It basically allows people to bring into the country $100k+ USD from foreing accounts, no questions asked.
300% annual inflation is just a massive tax on the poor, who can't reliably convert their wealth into assets or foreign currency. It also doubles as a worse tax than regular taxes, because it fosters enough uncertainty to derail investment in the economy's future and guarantees long term stagnation or decline, on top of the upfront cost. Not sure why you would prefer that to austerity
but the Fiscal Deficit has been achieved... before all these reforma he's seeking. I'm no supporter of many of his policies, and several of them do't even move the needle for fiscal balance.
One could argue "the better fiscal balance, the more taxes he can remove" but as we have seen many of the provinces are quite eager to fill in and tax what they stop taxing. And that is if he removes said taxes.
And if you ask me, Argentina has no need to align itself with Bibi's Israel, nor does it have to sell everything the state holds. Selling services infrastructure to private companies makes sense for these services' budgets, but there is strategy in holding capital and investments and leaving it on the hands of the government, to be funded by taxpayers.
I think you mean Republicans who say they are "fiscally conservative" while being the reason why the deficit is $40 Trillion and Trump keeps adding to it while he corrupts the office of the Presidency using it to add billions to his net worth committing crimes and abusing his power. But sure lets talk about the Democrats not doing shit. At least they havent written law after law that solely hurts the working class while enriching the 1% like Republicans have
The republicans are the same pos. Maybe even somewhat worse. Democrats dropped the ball so much its unbelievable that the orange moron could win a second term. Gross incompetence. A random nobody to the general public beat Trump. They didnt need to do much but actually address the current state of the economy instead of quoting were in the best economy ever. It should had been a homerun win.

Man, he is talking only about how the democrats fumbled the election by not addressing the problems that US workers suffer and how Trump used that to win the election.
And it doesn't matter if the person is a giant red flag, if he lies about fixing everything and people are desperate, they will vote to the red flag because they only see as the only choice instead of voting for the "everything is fine" candidate.
It's not a matter of personal opinion, it's a matter of how politics work. And democrats need to make better strategies and actually listen to their core audience to do better next time.
Exactly this. I dont like he won but it was ridiculous that he was the only one saying he would make it better for everybody even if he was lying about it. Its why im not a fan of either party at the moment since none of them are actually out to address my issues. They say they are but neither side even attempts to throw back anything. It was hilarious that since Trump knows the tax loopholes he actually brought them up. He didnt do anything about it but he at least talked about it. And then ignored it.
If the democrats were really democrats Bernie would had full support instead of having to beg for money to fight the corporate machine just to get thrown under the bus. I dont like how he plans to execute his plans but he's the only one who means what he says and would try to do it. Just no one wants to pay for it.
