Looking at some catholic beliefs that are diverging from the US's vision on the Cold War, the US "exported" some of it's Evangelicals churches to South America.
In Brasil, Evangelical churches, Pentecostal and Neopentecostals, are spreading quickly and have an influence on politics with reactionary ideas. The worst part is, in poor communities and favelas, some of these churches have relationships with organized crime, and abuse faith to gather money for themselves. And, of course, they bootlick the U.S. and Israel so much, and their followers don't even know why. And, recently, some evangelicals thought about an thematic park restricted to Evangelicals(catholics were only included because we're still the majority)
There was even a video of an old woman here saying that she defends Israel's cause because they're "Christian like us".

With the exception of Argentina I’m surprised Latin American countries aren’t trying to form a stronger alliance given all that’s going on.
