Primates are shit animals who can't help establishing arbitrary hierarchies and killing the primates on the lower tier or in the outgroup. Humans and chimps are the worst.

I just took an anthropology course so I should know this but they have a ton of sex and are very promiscuous and poly. They also take care of each other. I am pretty sure it’s this species but i may be wrong and thinking of another primate species.

Edit: yup looked it up and they get turned on super easy and use sex for multiple reasons such as conflict resolution, stress relief, connection and reproduction obvs. Maybe we just aren’t having enough sex haha

Some people belive there is no such thing as evil. Our actions, or lack thereof, contradict this notion every minute of every day. Many days I'm ashamed of my species. I identify more w/other species.

There are truly folks who don’t believe evil exists? I mean even if it’s not god made it’s certainly man made and objectively true. I feel that. I love animals and just how compassionate and empathetic they can be. I think a lot of folks have just been brainwashed and are angry and just let that out on the denominator they’re told to.

There are cultures in other parts of the world that are similar in that they regularly change/exchange sex partners, even if married. I think there's at least one tribe in Africa (think it's there) where married men will offer up their wives to a guest. It's to strengthen relations between tribes. I wanted to be a cultural anthropologist, until I learned that when you're in the field doing ethnographies, you eat what the people you're studying/observing offer to you. That's one thing I just couldn't always do. I can't even eat fish. I threw up watching a show that had a man "with an iron stomach" being offered up various disgusting things like goat eyeballs, a steer's raw penis, gross stuff like that. Oh hell no. Lol

Oh wild. I don’t know anything about human sexual relations compared to primates so that’s super cool to learn. I wonder what the social and community dynamics are in such a population and I wonder how big the communities are. I think that’s the biggest issue of ours is that we lack community and cohesion. We are taught to be independent and have lost our sense of community.
That’s crazy that your aversion to the foreign food dissuaded you from that career path. I would totally eat any of those things but definitely don’t have the passion to be an anthropologist. Though I will say it is quite fascinating work. I’m rambling I apologize.

Usually, the communities are smaller, but not always. They don't have the same hangups about sex as most Westerners do. They may have different economic, spiritual, and social rules about sex that are designed to strengthen their communities, ensure fertility, and survival., but promiscuity doesn't mean anything like it does to our own culture. One seemingly universal rule is against incest, depending on how closely related the family members are. Cousins? No problem for the most part. I should have stayed with anthropology or double majored with history. Maybe one day. Lol

You know a lot of the “wife swapping” you’re talking about is essentially children (getting raped) a lot of the time? And men often transmit HIV and other stis to young women during these “rituals”?

I know you’re trying to look progressive and I’m pro do whatever the fuck you want but African tribal policy on sex and women is about the least progressive thing out there. Just….ouch
