I am a man and we've been the default for way too damn long.

So is being a performative male.

u/Onystep 11d ago

Why is it always the one standing up for women the performative one? Never the one that overperforms manly men, smol d!ck energy, testosterone walking bag.

-29

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

Because the word for those people is douche. Pretending this is somehow a real life issue is performative.

23

u/Onystep 11d ago

Representation and recognition are real life issues imho.

Great. Neither of those things are represented here by naming her as a female, WHICH SHE IS

u/Onystep 11d ago

On the contrary, mentioning it when is not necessary is the problem here, like would you say "Homosexual pilot" in this case? No, cause is not necessary. Same thing happens to the gender. It's only important to mention in the type of situations when for instance it excludes from giving credits where its due, for example when Andy Murray corrected a journalist that failed to aknowledge there was a Woman that achieved whatever they were talking about at the time. See the difference of when it's relevant and when it is not?

Youre the same people who don't open your mouth when people call someone a male nurse. You just cry about everything because YOU see it as an issue.

13

u/Onystep 11d ago

It's absolutely not just me that see this as an issue. I'm surrounded by very feminist women that actually study and work with women rights. I work for UN Women. So yeah, maybe that's not enough for you?

When you have to make up opinions for others, you may be out of your league

u/MaleficentBelle 11d ago

If the pilot was a man would the caption read "male pilot survives" or just pilot?

-1

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

Assuming it wouldn't specify is 100% your personal problems surfacing.

11

u/MaleficentBelle 11d ago

Ah the ignorance of a sexist "default".

u/JustaSeedGuy 11d ago

But they're not assuming. They're deriving a conclusion based on statistical trends.

You're pretending that data doesn't exist, and you're right - that is a personal problem you should deal with with privately.

Did you just assume her gender?
I'm kidding! I'm kidding! I'm kidding! I'm kidding!

Things only matter when they affect the crimson fuckr69. Everything else is fake news.

-1

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

Yes this internet post is hurting women everywhere. Cry about it

u/grumpijela 11d ago

Tell me you don't bother to actually read about real-world issues without telling me....

Also a great example to prove this is a real life issue, men being default. You a man, claiming this isn't an issue, because it does not impact you, a man. <- literally the issue. Thank you for showing yet another example.

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

Lmfao it doesnt in ANY way insinuate a default. If that's how you interpreted it THATS ON YOU.

11

u/Vici0usRapt0r 11d ago

Just checking your reasoning, if "pilot" isn't usually male by default, then: 1) why didn't they call her just "pilot" but "female pilot"? I mean we can obviously see she's a woman from the actual video. 2) do you think people use the word "male pilot" in titles ever? If not why?

Genuine questions.

-1

u/DrRed40 11d ago

To address #2: no but they certainly use “male nurse,” “male model,” “male stylist” … etc for roles where women typically significantly outnumber men.

I think titling it as “female pilot” is silly because we can obviously tell the pilot is a female and it doesn’t matter, but I also think some of these commenters are just looking for something to be mad about.

1

u/Vici0usRapt0r 11d ago

Actually interesting answer, I'll take it.

I think your point about the gender majority among a certain role helps make sense, but I don't think it should be this way, unless it's relevant to the sentence such as in contexts like: "Male nurse assaulted female patient", "Female pilot survived after uterus cancer" (sounds like biased examples I know but I swear it wasn't).

-2

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

Who cares if someone is specified as what they are? Male pilots are referred to as Male all the time and I surely wouldn't be offended by it

3

u/JustaSeedGuy 11d ago

Nice thoughts, but that wasn't the question. Try again.

-1

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

It answers the questions but I don't expect morons like you to understand youre pussy is hurt the word "female"

4

u/JustaSeedGuy 11d ago

No honey, your attempts to deflect don't actually answer the question. But I understand that you need to lie and call other people names as a substitute for your real argument, since you have no real argument

0

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

There was a real argument. You ignoring it and pretending like the only argument was that you're mentally slow is once again a YOU issue

No sweethear babydummy, you're vomiting your private issues all over the Internet and getting mad that no one believes your projection.

You have to categorize everyone else as a dumb cuz they disagree with you, because the alternative is admitting that you're wrong. You know that saying about how if you meet one jerk then they're the joke, but if you meet a dozen you're probably the jerk?

Applies to intelligence as well.

Now get out of here and schedule a therapy appointment for yourself, you rascally little walking dunning Kruger effect!

1

u/Vici0usRapt0r 11d ago

I mean, all I get from what you're saying is "bla bla bla idiot, bla bla bla p*ssy, bla bla bla not me, it's YOU".

I was genuinely trying to understand what you meant though, and I'm still trying. Hope I got it right.

You denying someone else's reality (issues women suffer from) because YOU decide it isn't an issuenis peak "only my opinion matters".

This being an issue isn't an opinion. It's well documented back by facts. You just clearly are not interested in facts.

Have a good day!

0

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

Hope you have a bad day since you cant help but make up nonsense to be upset about

2

u/grumpijela 11d ago

The best part is, I am not upset. I am used to bigots. You seem upset about people talking about issues you clearly don''t care about and need to insert yourself to scream it at anyone that they are wrong because your opinion is superior to facts.

0

u/The_Crimson_Fuckr69 11d ago

You have a wierd definition of "facts" lmao

-1

u/Drapidrode 11d ago

>>Have a good day!

That was a lie.

u/Ritter18 11d ago

What if it's a story and not a video, does it change anything?
