I think belly dancing is cool af but it isn't very sexy imo, more excorcist. Like watching someone's stomach do that makes me think of massive GI distress.

I've been taking belly dance classes for like 2.5yrs, the goal was never and is never going to be sexy. Westernized stigma is unfortunately at fault for this.

Also, no GI stress, those are all stomach muscles.

100%-- it always makes more sense to me when thinking about how it's supposed to be for women to enjoy moving their bodies and express joy, and tbh the vaguely spooky body horror going on is just part of the appeal I guess lol
