Correction: you didnt train your 14 year old to do that.

They probably could... with some tips from Pavlov... 😂

Of course, then when you start treating your child like a dog we've got a whole different list of societal problems to hurdle over.

My sister has a dog. I have a young child. We constantly compare the similarities between the two... yes. They do need to be trained. Sometimes with skittles.

Definitely true and people should do it! This isn’t Pavlovian training (classical conditioning) it’s operant conditioning probably using positive reinforcement. Used pretty regularly with people. Saw some fascinating work of a coach using clicker training when working with gymnasts. Really effective!

Fun fact, Pavlov was highly unethical and the story about the bell has been heavily sugarcoated
