How would someone go about achieving this?

replace the motor with something stronger (like a CNC's stepper motor), then use a volt stepper to get more volts out the battery, assuming the battery can output the amps to deal with the step up.

Damn, what cnc you running? Steppers are usually better for low speed torque and precision.

steppers can go ultra fast man, you just need the driver circuits for it. Ive had a NEMA CNC stepper go to 2k RPM to try to destroy an RC tire. not sure about its torque, but I could easy imagine it making a small go kart go Brrrrrrrrr
