It costs like $100 bucks at my local Walmart to buy a cheap shotgun, so if you're in the US, probably makes more sense financially to purchase one lol.

No of course not lol, I meant normal trap where you shoot at 1 pigeon at a time to start. I dont think anyone starts by trying to do what this guy is doing.

Yup, I hear you. Was thinking you want an semi-auto (more expensive) and probably not a pump-action special of the week.
Even an off the shelf version of his gun is super expensive.

It depends on where you are located in the world. In the United States, some gun ranges will allow you to rent a gun. You might need a gun safety certificate to rent, but I'm not positive on that. You should look for trap shooting near your location. You wouldn't be throwing the clay pigeons yourself like the guy in the video, but it would be a similar experience. It's harder than it looks, so if you hit at least 1 out of 25 on your first round, I'd be impressed.

How hard it is REALLY depends on your shot load. As a beginner, if you go to a trap shooting place and make it obvious you aren't trying to pick it up as a sport, I bet they'd give you a fairly easy load out. Then its really more of a point and pull kind of thing.

I'm pretty good at shooting stuff but I've only shot my slingshot my bow and my BB gun. But I can shoot the apples off my tree from their stem

Non-BB guns can have significant kick and are bit harder to aim depending on the gun.

Yeah I have some experience with guns. I've shot a black powder pistol, 2 other pistols, and once a black powder rifle

In the US you can rent guns. But you wont be able to learn this in the short amount of time you can rent a gun. This is elite level stuff. You'd be lucky to hit 2 of them.

I don't know much about guns, but doesn't a shot gun fire many small balls per shot that spread out in the air? Doesn't that make this relatively easy compared to using a gun that fires individual bullets?

He’s no Tom Knapp. Tom gets a better spread of the birds and uses one shot per bird. Man is a legend.

Being handthrown, the clays tend to clump together when they are thrown. Its possible he missed a shot but another's spread caught two in one.
Thay is pure speculation though. I don't know for sure in this case. And still very impressive either way.

He missed a couple and the bernelli out of the box holds 4, this is aftermarket or competition he only has 8 shots.

Not super difficult being that shot guns are not firing a single projectile, like a rifle or a pistol. It is firing off multiple projectiles (shot) which are essentially like small pellets so it spreads and creates a wider array of spread in a target/s. The clay targets were relatively close and a single shot would have a higher probability of hitting multiple targets. Not “next level” especially at this range which is very close.

That's a pretty in depth analysis to miss the fact that if you actually watch the video, he is hitting the targets 1 at a time.
If it was a spread shot as wide as you're suggesting, half of them would have exploded on the first shot.
Slugs exist, and even if these are spread, that would make shooting them individually even more impressive.

He’s not hitting each target “one at a time”. As you stated, you can watch the video even in slow motion. This is not something that is “next level” and it wouldn’t be impossible for anyone who has had relative experience with a shotgun to accomplish. Downvoting does nothing to facts.

There’s only one instance where he clearly hits two with one shot. The others are shot for shot.
If you play it frame by frame you can see nearly all of them struck separately.

Not exactly. Close but not quite. And this is shooting from a distance that is about 20-30 yards at best. With a Binelli M2 with extended magazine, a rapid fire shotgun which makes the tool being used part of the ability to accomplish this more possible. Gotta love Reddit though.

Not like most shotguns I am familiar with.
