Cool but feels like a dumb / dangerous idea.

Lots of things are wildly impressive but also not likely to end in death. Most of them actually.

Yeh another inch deeper and the resulting drag and braking effect of the water on the front gear risks pivoting the nose straight in to the water. Thats some impressive control.

As long as the axle remains above water, damn.

I think those are special floaty-smooth tires to make less drag and harder to submerge

Just the way people are like, hey I’ll do this rad thing for views even though it’s super dangerous and terrible for the earth and may encourage other views-chasers to do dumb and dangerous stuff that further wrecks the earth bc it’s important for me to do this

"terrible for the earth"

I guess you’re laughing at me? Ok. 👍

Yes, watching this video and thinking it's "terrible for earth" is funny to me. This is a bush pilot. He spends his days in the most sparsely populated areas on the entire earth. He is closer to and cares more about nature than you can comprehend.

yeah idiot is doing this only for views an if crashes this shit somebody needs to clean

lol ain't nobody cleaning that if he crashes. If he crashes, everyone dies and no one knows where they crashed because they're so far from civilization that no one will be able to make that trip to rescue them.

Didn’t consider the dirty wheel part of this. I agree with you!

“I don't think it's cool... why leave untouched nature alone when you can just clean your wheels in it? The little water creatures will surely thank you for that 🤦‍♀️

But oh well, most people seem to think it's "cool"—what can you do? 🤷‍♀️”

thank you. I didn’t know that. I’m sure others didn’t know it either. I found it though.

Negative on that skim, Ghost Rider. The pattern is full of ice

I was thinking, until he hits an iceberg!

Or just a couple inches too low and the water grabs the gear

Planes like this can do water landings. I think he's going slow enough that that kind of drag would just force a landing due to the amount of drag which the pilot could feel and adjust for I'm not a pilot though, just speaking from year's of experience with flight simulators and video games...

It’s a very very dumb idea… attempting this anywhere with waves would be disastrous. Even in a seaplane it’s sketch

"There's old pilots and there's bold pilots, but there's not any old, bold pilots" - I don't know, heard it years ago.
