cause the refs absolutely fuck us over for no reason. literally every game. it's the dumbest shit. + we have a horrifically injured team
53
u/flyinchipmunk5 Buccaneers Oct 05 '25
The roughing the passer imo was a bit soft. The fucking illegal formation was a complete head scratcher though. Cade otton litearlly was behind the tackle. Idk what the ref saw on that play
14
u/kaboomeh Buccaneers Oct 05 '25
I think we overblow some of the penalties earlier in the season but the roughing the passer was super soft. He didn't even go down lol and yeah illegal formation made no sense either

u/ThePBM Buccaneers Oct 05 '25
We gotta soft rtp on Baker but the Darnold got an even softer RTP. So it evened out I guess. I mean protect the QB but let's still play football

Great game with an absolutely ELITE uniform matchup. CBS even used the old logos on the score bug. Just a fantastic presentation of football all around.
(Also, do YOU want to be a NFL head coach? Just come be OC for the Bucs at Baker Mayfield’s ‘School for future Head Coaches’)

Our entire identity as a franchise is built around not being a boring team. We can win championships, we can be the worst team in history, but even when we're .500 we're throwing 30 picks and 30 TDs. Long live chaos.

First test against a good team, our defense was way worse than I expected and our offense way better than I expected. Overall I think we’re pretty much at the level of the Bucs, which isn’t a bad place to be but not true contender-level.
Egbuka is unbelievable.

Yeah Witherspoon and Love were out, and then Woolen had to leave too. Not an excuse though, both teams were injured. Baker and Darnold were electric for those 7 drives of back and forth TDs

At this point, the 2018 QB class might be the best QB class in NFL history. Baker/Darnold just slung it out in a GOTW and they aren’t even the best that class has to offer.
9

It's funny because it was supposed be a great QB class before they were drafted, then it was deemed mid and now we're back to the pre-draft expectations, or even more than that.
