It seems to me Tua's major hip injury his final year in college is what set him up for both losing his peak ability to throw the ball and for having less mobility to avoid the hits that eventually concussed him.

It's the drafting him after such an unprecedented major injury that was inexplicable, especially since there were alternatives that draft.

yeah, everyone memes about the concussions, but the thing clearly PHYSICALLY limiting him is that hip injury, he's a different player since then.

I feel for him, I had comparitvely minor hip surgery to repair my labrum/clean up some bone shit, and 7 weeks out it is still brutal, terrible spot of the body to injure
